I don't see Taylor making it through camp on the roster. Smith, Hackett, Moose, Jarrett and Robinson will be our corps this year.

So exactly where does Hackett fit?
That will likely be determined on the field, but Robinson said Monday that the Panthers informed Hackett during a recent visit to Charlotte that he would be the No. 2 receiver opposite Steve Smith. http://www.carolinagrowl.com/Read.aspx?Story=536 |

I second that.
Now that we have our recieving corp in good shape I think we can do some real damage in the draft because he have only so many "needs" and a suplus of picks. I don't think we could trade every one of our draft picks to get the 1st spot where I believe Long will be taken, but if the latter Long (Jake) tumbles, we could trade up easily and grab him at 6 or 8, maybe even 4 given our history with the jets. Long story short (no pun intended), I'm very pleased with the offseason thus far, and I think we are in positions to make some moves and have a killer draft, one that at least rivals last years'. One other thing. Who else thinks top 10 Offense this year? |

Our receiving corp just got soooo much stronger. We just replaced Drew (mallets for hands) Carter with DJ Hackett, and our most productive WR from a few years back for Keary Colbert. Not to mention Jarrett is probably better than both anyways. Just from that signing alone, this offseason has been the most productive in recent memory. Even more so than the Ken Lucas Mike Wahle offseason.
