Canes playing in Olympics
Now that most of us know that Tim Gleason has been invited to the U.S.A. Hockey Camp, where he will compete for a roster spot on team U.S.A. for the 2010 Winter Olympics, it is time to see who the other teams have invited. These are the Carolina Hurricanes players that have been invited to the Olympic Hockey Camps for their respective countries. (The United States and Canada's roster is set for camp. The remaining countries have not sent out invitations but these are players predicted to make their respective teams.)
Carolina Hurricanes (U.S.A) 1. Defensemen- Tim Gleason Carolina Hurricanes (Canada) 1. Goalie- Cam Ward 2. Forward- Eric Staal Carolina Hurricanes (Finland) 1. Forward- Tuomo Ruutu 2. Forward- Jussi Jokinen 3. Defensemen- Joni Pitkanen Carolina Hurricanes Minor League Team Albany River Rat's (Switzerland) 1. Goalie- Daniel Manzato Carolina Hurricanes (Germany) 1.
