we worry so much about our players leaving the team beacuse they make so many millions a year, yet where is the players devotion to us fans??? I have spent the last 1 1/2 years to save to be able to fly my family and myself, + buy tickets to go to my first panther game... yet here we all are making exscusses about how much money they make and why we would want them to do what and go where...

what happended to the players careing???? why do i have to save for allmost 2 years but then when i ask for an autograph i get looked at funny, and they just walk away???? how come they make as much as i do all year in one weekend, but when i do all i ca to be there they just dont care??????

I am not saying this is the way our team is, but hey.. the next time you buy tickets and you dont get autographs or a handshake.. let that player knoW " YOU WILL REPLACE HIM"' Because WE will replace them...............

Not all pro athletes “don’t care” I have met a lot of local pro athletes and some have actually been IMO more then friendly, some will really take the time to talk with you and sign something, others don’t want to be hassled, & I can understand that.



These guys have to deal with people hassling all the time to sign this sign that. In public I have seen people run up to them and start gushing all over the place “OMG its you OMG I LOVE YOU”, and begin to talk there ear off, who wants some nut running up to them in public doing that, before you know it you have the whole store or club mobbing the guy and he leaves.

I know that the fans come with the territory of being a pro athlete, and for the most part the majority of the athletes are pretty cool I have never encountered any idiots.


If your in a public place or are tying to get a autograph at a game, just play it cool, treat them with respect (don’t scream your head off like a nut) and if its in public respect there space.

Hey--If you have a hot girlfriend or wife….send them over (that’s what I do ) you will not only get his autograph but his phone#, address, maybe even a jersey if its at a game. (Don't send her over if you just had a fight she might not come back HaHa


Also if you have a younger brother or kid, send them over. they are always cool to to the little ones.

You said that you've never seen the Panthers before. How do you know that they "look at you funny" when you try to get an autograph?

As a whole, I've found Carolina Panthers players to be extremely willing to sign autographs and spend a little bit of time with the fans.

As for the money issue, it's a business. These guys have a 10 year window (if they are lucky) to make as much money as possible for the remainder of their life. Yes, they make a ton of money, but they also bring in just as much for the teams and NFL in general.

This is a job to these players. Yes, most of them love the game...but they also are making a living by doing it. You wouldn't ask a CEO of a major company to stay with them just because he likes the other employees, when he gets an offer for twice as much money elsewhere.

i will say this was funny as hell to read in the morning!!! and no i havent been to a game to see the panthers, and i wasnt realy being panther specific.. its just more of the whole league wide' perception" of some athletes.. thats all......

I don't worry about any player leaving. Decisions are made every year by players and coaches that affect the team and fans. The FO has to be aware of problems down the road and draft and sign accordingly. It's a business that happens to be a great sport that we love to watch. Cheer them on while you got'em, they won't be here long.
