Do you think or Front Offices can think of something to be able to keep D-Will and Stew long term? So we have them till they retire?

It would be very hard to do and it would depend on each of there success. If i were Hurney i would make Charlotte the most comfortable place for them. In my heart of hearts I'd like to think the two would like to stay with each other on the same team. They seem to have bonded really well. They could be the best tandem ever if they want to be but i can't exactly blame them if they want a huge contract. But if they were both together then i think the longevity of both careers would be greatly extended and they could both be great even in their 30s.

Man, this has been my question from day one. I love both backs (D.Will has been my fave player since he was drafted though.) But in such a money hungry league some day a team will offer up BIG Money and BIG playtime....I'm just not sure how they'll respond.
But like Rayzor said. They both seem like Down To Earth Guys...both get along; plus they DO split the carries basically (to my dismay this Sunday)...so I think we can do it. YES WE CAN;;; NO YES WE WILLLL

Stewart would leave before Williams, I think. He's younger, and younger players tend to value money over team loyalty. Given that Stewart usually keeps to himself to begin with, it wouldn't surprise me at all if he left when his contract expired.

I really don't see it happening, it seems almost impossible, but I can dream.
If we keep winning and they are both given the credit they deserve, and if team chemistry is high, and if we have the cap room, then yes i think we can keep them. |

Till they retire
No 4 years till Stewart is a F/A yes Unless Fox trades 1 to move up in a draft . How many Panthers have retired only playing for Panthers ? Add to that ,back up RB's that are F/A can get big $$$$ Turner |

I agree- as long as Williams plays like he does, Stewart wont want to sit behind him while he surely see's himself as starting material. How many interviews have we heard DWill sound off about not caring where he plays (backup/starter) as long as he plays. Stewart was "I just want to help the team", so I feel because of where he was drafted he would want an oppertunity to be #1. I hope that they both stay. I realy do, I think they could be something great, and unlike anything the NFL has ever seen in a tandom. |
