I would suggest you sending a pm to that person to see who they are. There is a thread somewhere about sending PMs to the admins is you want a name change, If the other guy has been active and he did not claim your name do it as a joke, you'd have to work it out among yourselves I would imagine and the PM an admin.

edit - I just went looking for that thread and couldn't find it - it was something like you have a week to change your name
