wow that is very unexpected, he was a great football player and regardless of the issues with the ex nfl vetrens he did a great job for the NFLPA (current players) all of these guys making this crazy amount of money owe it to him.

that I have to admit my thoughts turned to what this means for the NFLPA and getting a new labor contract done.

Man - that is seriously out-of-the-blue. He was just on Sirius a month or two ago. I'm sure very few knew this - he must have known himself. I always admired him.

He DID do a lot for players in the NFL and he is a HOF'r

............

ok- now maybe that rookie cap can get done and we can get another CBA complete. The Players union was already forcing him out anyways because of his hardlined stance so lets hope the next guy can understand both sides of the business.

wow the player union wanted him out but not like this...that really sucks...it has not been a good two weeks....on a side note this may help some of the retired players who have been fighting for better pensions...i think the nfl has some of the lowest pensions of 4 major sports...you would think a ex player would understand that

Pancreatic cancer is very agressive and I believe most people do not live for more than a couple of months once they find out.
