To be fair, Delhomme only had average at best arm strength to begin with. Not like there was a whole lot to lose.

Hey, we've sucked it the past two years. If I were them, I'd probably say the same thing.

I completely agree. As a fan of this team i'm optimistic about our chances, but as you said based off the last two seasons we simply don't deserve alot of hype.

I had not seen that writeup with Jordan Gross on "The Kneel" before (below the video on that page); interesting read.

Not saying I agree with that (Kurt Warner in 1999, anyone?), but that's what it means.
Dude, before the surgery, he had missed 3 games in 3 years, and that was because he jammed his thumb on an opponents helmet, which happens all the time to a lot of different QB's...it has nothing to do with arm injuries.

Hot air all of it.

Expert. Let's break that down.

Ex = former wife, girlfriend, broker, etc.

Spurt = something that a malfunctioning hose produces.

How many analysts does ESPN have? 500?

Maybe they will analyze their predictions over the past five years and come to a consensus about their expert-ness. But then again, don't count on it.

Lets get it on and let's see what happens.

While it is true that if Jake comes back from this it will be a first in NFL history, I fail to see how the experts can apply this logic of QB injury to Carolina and not to Philly with McNabb. In a stronger division, they pick Philly consensus #2, and McNabb's even larger injury history is barely mentioned. Though the Eagles have made the playoffs without McNabb and Carolina tanked the past two years...so perhaps that has something to do with it? Who knows?

I feel like something needs to happen with these large news organizations, like have a system of a bunch of guys that actually watch the games and TC, read the blogs and what not who report up to the higher ups

because these experts opinions are worth shit when they know nothing about us, what's the point of even asking them?

If there is anything I've learned its that the talking heads are only good for killing time and pacifying our interest between the games. They can not see into the future and the things they say during the week usually have no bearing on the outcome of the games on Sunday. To cover their asses you can hear them say multiple times throughout the year "That's why they play the games".
