Bobcats interested in McDyess and Bass not Iverson or Wallace

Bobcats GM Rod Higgins said Thursday that the team has not had any contact with free agents Allen Iverson or Rasheed Wallace.

Higgins said the team is interested in signing Brandon Bass or Antonio McDyess, but that's not likely since they're over the cap and can't offer much money. 'Iverson to Charlotte' rumors are rampant, but the fact they've yet to have contact could mean that match is not likely.

Bass would be awesome if we can get him. But I think he will have a lot of suitors. What about Drew Gooden? It seems like he's been around forever, but he's only 27. He would be a productive big coming off the bench, and we could probably get him cheaper than Bass.

Sheed will almost certainly sign with the Celtics and Bass can probably get more than the MLE so I doubt he'll sign here either. McDyess is the only actual possibility I think.
