I saw a mock where Ellington was going late 1st round Lawson early 2nd round and Green wasn't mentioned in 1st or 2nd.
I bet Green went home after season and his Father told him if them 2 are declaring you need to also , cause your as good as them if not better ( get paid my son) LMAO
At this time I really could care less but personally if any of them go their names will go down with Joe Forte's.. Cause they ain't even close to being ready. Ellington will take a few years to learn to get his shot off, and gain a better shooting touch ( if his fragile mentality doesn't blow up 1st) Lawson won't make it a full year without getting hurt ( them boys in the NBA will lay the wood to ya) and Green ...well I'm at a loss for words. He's letting ego get in the way of better judgement.

I don't think I would risk my future on hoping to be a late 1st round pick , if you ain't pretty much guaranteed mid 1st round don't risk it,cause if they drop out of 1st round their butts will be in Europe playing

word is danny green went 3-10 fg and 0-4 3fg with 4 boards, 2 turnovers and a block in his game today....sounds like his ankle is really bothering him...but he still wants out of Carolina, all the quotes seem to point that way.

If I were Roy, I'd do my best for any kid in terms of evaluation (as he does) and then if they did something as foolish as these guys, I'd cut them loose.

Lawson has a legit shot at first round, but i've seen legit first rounders drop to the top of the 2nd round as well. 2nd round = no chance in the league.

Again, if I were Roy I'd be recruiting with their scholly right now, and would use them as bright, shiney examples of what not following my advice will get you.

I do not think I would say he wants out of Carolina.....I think it is safe to say if the money is there he would go into going to the NBA

I remember Green saying in more than one PC that it would take a lot to get him to leave Chapel Hill without a NC, but it would be hard to stay when there is talk about Millions in your future.

I still do not think he will go, but I could see Ellington leave if he is guaranteed 1st round, which I think Lawson would follow....I have read they are really good friends and if Ellington goes back to school, Lawson would more than likely follow

What’s going to determine if you go or not?
“Probably if I’m No. 20 or higher. If I’m going to like No. 21 or going towards the second round, I’m probably not going to go.”

This just makes no sense what-so-ever, the guy will be a lottery pick in a year but is willing to settle for top 20 draft spot

Sounds like Lawson was one of the best players at the camp yesterday. As I mentioned Green is suffering an ankle injury, but it also sounds like Ellington was terrible. Could be good news for Carolina fans. Typical day for DeMarcus Nelson it sounded like.

Ty Lawson was a cut above everyone else on the floor here, showing incredible quickness taking an outlet pass and getting his team out in transition, and fantastic court vision finding open teammates on the move. He made the game very simple for all of his teammates, as all they had to do was run with him and make sure their hands were ready for the pass. He got to the rim and finished only semi-well (his size hurts him here), converting 4 of 10 shots for 10 points and 4 assists, and also played terrific defense on Lester Hudson. He slowed down in his second stint of playing time in the second half, but the strong impression he needed to make was already felt. We’ll be watching him in the drills tomorrow to see how he shoots the ball, something that is very important for him. He had not stood out prior to this game at all.

Also on the negative side of the spectrum we found Danny Green (forcing the issue way too much, especially from behind the arc [0-4], and looking clearly hobbled by his sprained left ankle) and Jeremy Pargo (showing concerning shot-selection and tunnel vision driving through the lane).

The second game was fairly weak as far as big time draft prospects were concerned. The most intriguing story might have been the incredibly poor play of North Carolina shooting guard Wayne Ellington—projected by some as a first round pick, but looking like anything but one from what we’ve seen in the first two days so far. Ellington was 1 of 8 from the field until the game was pretty much over with two minutes left and he managed to make his boxscore look somewhat respectable with two garbage-time baskets. He forced a number of shots badly, dribbled the ball off his foot on his way to 6 painful turnovers, played poor defense and did not grab even a single rebound in 27 minutes. He finished the game with 8 points, and is looking like he’ll be on the first plane back to Chapel Hill to kick off his junior season once this camp is over unless he can turn things around in a major way.

DeMarcus Nelson was intense and aggressive, but looked a bit out of control at times too with some of his drives.

So Ellington is showing his mid-winter game in his tryouts.....If he could be consistant he would be a top 20 pick

I dont know man, I know his family situation sucks and he is getting pressured by his dad, but with quotes like this, it sure makes it sound like he wants out of Chapel Hill.

his Dad ran out of Meth and needs cash.......I remember how much shit I talked about Rondo leaving early because of his Dad, and he could have been a lottery guy with one more year under his belt....The guy could have brought Kentucky to the promise land if his deadbeat of a father hadn't have been arrested for drugs. I still think it is pretty sad for a kid to have to bail your old man out for drugs.

sure things are looking good for Rondo now, but I remember hearing how hard he had to work to get where he is at now and had the right opportunity laid before him.

Well good news, every mock draft I have seen they only have one Tar Heel going in the first round and it is at 29th to Detroit.....I guess we will have to see if Lawson is good to his word
