ESPN.com's No. 8 rated prospect in the class of 2009, 6-4 combo guard Leslie McDonald, announced on Monday for the Tar Heels. That was quick, he visited UNC and Duke over the weekend. He made the correct call.

McDonald joins Dexter Strickland, John Henson, and the Wear twins for what should be the #1 recruiting class in 09.

I'm glad we are loading back up should be a nice class along with whats coming this year!!

If Drew can be a half way decent PG this team will be a force in about 2-3 years from now

I think Henson will be a superstar. He was a pg/sg and grew about 8 inches, so he is now 6-10" and could be 7ft by the time he gets to UNC.

Well one thing is for sure this will be one of the biggest teams the ACC has seen within it's ranks

I heard Dave Telep say the other day that he was already7ft tall.

good get for ya'll. He'll probably take over Ellingtons spot at 2 guard in 09. I'm glad he chose Carolina because playing time would've been an issue at Duke not because of his talent but our depth already at shooting guard.

He was definitely more of a need for us. He's a good kid and a good athlete so as a Heel fan, I'm happy!!!

I am surprised this thread has made it this many days without a DOOK fan talking trash...Maybe the DOOOOOKIES have learned they are going to be a sub-par team compared to Carolina in the next few years.

Well i guess someone has to take the bait. It's funny you bring this up two days after Duke recieved two comittments for their 2010 class, Tyler Thornton and Josh Hairston. Hopefully hear some good news soon on Kenny Boynton and maybe even Ryan Kelly for next year. Still chasing Brandon Knight and Harrison Barnes for 2010 class, looking for maybe 6 in that class. Things are fine in Durham.
