Just got their asses kicked by a 1AA team. At least that's what people were calling UCONN when UNC played them.

tenn who almost beat bama got rolled by vt, yet vt got beat worse than tenn by bama. so the conclusion, transitive and comparisions be damned, they matched up better to usc than unc. go figure. uconn is a middle of the road big east school, usc was a mid pack sec school. uconn matched up better and played better, good for them. that doesnt make unc squeeking by uconn any better. just like vt getting by nebraska isnt better when looking at how nebraska played texas.

Damn, I didn't think anybody was gonna bite.
Yeah, I understand that our game with UCONN had nothing to do with this game, but that was a pathetic showing for South Carolina any way you slice it. In fact, aside from Florida and Alabama, the SEC really doesn't look much like an elite conference right now. Hell, ECU should have beaten Arkansas and Northwestern took Auburn down to the wire, and I don't need to remind VT fans what they just did to Tennessee. |

yeah cfb has been weak this year imo. no true flat dominant team. tcu might be the closest, but have they really played anyone like the sec or big 12? plus we wont see tcu against a top flight major conf. school, so even if the roll boise st, will anyone really care?
alot of teams that fit the 15-25 in the polls, but only 3 or 4 that are top 10. lot of inconsistancy. i would say bama, tcu, florida and boise are top 10 any other year. this year they are the top 4 (sorry ass cincy failed again) by a good margin. the sec imo is really 2/3 big teams year in, year out: LSU, Florida, and Bama. LSU got a pooty field to use their speed against PSU. Florida ripped cincy apart (not a surprise to me), and bama could win it all. georgia will be back, but lost the entire offense and the defense was horrible. if they get the d fixed, then the SEC is back to a big 4. the weakest of all: pac-10. zona, stanford, cal? yall didnt show up against teams you were suppose to beat. usc, nice struggle over a pooty BC team. oregon, oregon state, folded again. they should tuck tail and run from this year. acc and big east have not looked to hot either. i mean big east has been schooled in the bcs the last 2 years now, and the FSU win over WVU hurts. also UNC, unranked, and with a marginal O at best, lit up pitt in a close game. a pitt team that was top 20. the BE wins have not been over quality oponenets. then again the canes folded in a gimme, imo, with wisconsin, and had a tustle with freakn kentucky. now if it was a bball game that be great, but its the KU football team! tenn is an average sec team in a down year, so the VT win, imo, was expected. the acc has 1 last chance to salvage the bowl season with GT, he miami loss was huge imo, and a gt win would erase that. the fsu win was nice though. big10 and big12 have been better than i expected in the bowls, as have the mid majors. |

Every year, never to fail, one team (at least) fails to even show up for their bowl game. South Carolina was that team this year.
