It's good to make friends who have a similar belief to yourself but it can also be beneficial to have friends of differing viewpoints (retarded or not).

Fortunately my own fundie friends aren't going to shun me because of my lack of churchgoing (they really aren't all that fundamentalist then are they) and we silently agree to avoid the subject of religion or lack thereof.

www.debatingchristianity.com is a decent site for religious discussion, but overall most of it's intelligent community is either Atheist or Jewish and the Christians are generally represented by the people who can't write or think. Anyway if you don't look there check it out for some decent discussion every once in awhile.

It is quite interesting, especially when you aren't accepting it as literal truth.

Unfortunately I don't have many people to discuss it with as most of my friends are staunch hater type atheists or fundamentalist types who I would never open that can of worms with. Thus my biblical discussion abilities have atrophied to nearly nothing.
