Bill France will defiantly make it. Needs to be two from the Modern Era and two from the past total of 5.

Dunno about that. I picked Johnson because he's the best personification IMO of NASCAR's moonshiner roots. Fireball gets in because if you can find I better representation of the NASCAR underdog, I'd like to see it.

Pearson was probably one of the best drivers that NASCAR has ever seen though.......Johnson was known as a cheater and Fireball was the underdog but never really got legendary status

No denying that Pearson was a great driver but there are a lot of great drivers on their list of nominee's who aren't going to get in since they are only taking five the first go round. It might sound ridiculous but I don't think they just take guys with talent, I think they take guys who were characters. It's the personailities that built the sport up to what it is today, not just the skill level.

The Silver Fox was one of the Top 5 drivers of all time. Not even close in my opinion. The three seasons he raced full-time? Championship.

I don't mind the top 5 for this round. They all deserved it.

I was a little surprised to see Junior Johnson in over Pearson or Yarborough. But I'm sure they'll be in next year with Bobby Allison.
