The Brickyard...who ya got? -

I am going to be a homer and go with my favorite driver Brian Vickers. He looked real good at Chicagoland, just had some bad luck. Granted, I think the #83 pit crew is mediocre at best, but I think Vickers pulls this out. And since I just made fun of Travis Kvapil, he will probably take the checkered flag in his underfunded car with the rotating obscure sponsors while Vickers gets a DNF. That would be karma for me.

I'm gonna go with Jeff Gordon or Tony Stewart, both of those guys pretty much own Indy. As long as a JGR car is in victory lane when it's over then I could care less

And to Spike, the #83 pit crew won the All-Star pit crew challenge, they are definitely not too shabby.

That may be, but every time I have watched them in race situations they always seem to be costing Vickers valuable seconds compared to other pit crews. I cut them some slack as overall it is a very young team overall.

Touche'. I'll put it this way: I've seen a few pit crews way worse off than his. Either way the Red Bull paint schemes are really cool, so they got that going for them!

Actually, I think that team is gonna start making noise within the next couple seasons. Vickers is really coming along and starting to look like what he should have been a couple years ago, Almendinger was helped out EXTENSIVELY by Skinner getting in that car and teaching that whole team a few things, and Scott Speed certainly looks to be the real deal.

I agree. Vickers has a good shot at sneaking into the chase this year, and agreed on Speed as well. Not the biggest fan of Allmendinger though.

Boy I'd love it if they could steal away Joey Logano from JGR, which I know would probably have you pulling your hair out(he is set to take over the #20 next year right?)

Yeah, that would definitely make me pull my hair out. My best friends girl friend knows Joey very well, his family helped build and still continues to invest in a hockey rink out in Indian Trail. He is kind of cocky, but can drive the wheels off of anything.

As far as I've heard he is supposed to take that ride over and I see no reason why he shouldn't. And as for Red Bull getting him, I doubt it. His contract with JGR is pretty stout, and if I'm right he is locked up for the next 6 seasons.

Stewart has Office Depot as his sponser next year. The Home Depot is staying with JGR.

That was one of the conditions of his release. He is not allowed to take the sponser, his crew chief or anyone else employed at JGR with him to Stewart/Haas.
