Default Panthers fans from around the world unite!

Hi,

I'm a Panthers fan from England. I've supported the Panthers since 1995 and visit the USA once a year to watch the Panthers. I've not only been to home games but the odd away one as well. (Giants fans are not that friendly & Seahawks fans are annoying).

Last season i was lucky enough to get invited on the pitch where i met Mr Richardson and Jake Delhomme. I consider this to be the greatest day of my life!!! (Don't tell the wife)...

Anyway, my whole life is about supporting the Panthers. I've even started a collection of things that mean a lot to me. I have the 95' hall of fame program, the first ever regular season game at Atlanta program and ticket, signed helmets, all the media guides, signed pictures of players, lots of superbowl bits and pieces... I just love the Panthers.

Most people in the UK follow Miami, San Francisco, Washington, New York Giants, oh and New England. I do work with an Atlanta fan but he is an idiot.

Anyway enough of me... are there many other Panther fans from around the world???

How many British folks get into the NFL in general?I know in NFL europe, the London Monarchs(sp)didn't seem to draw a crowd, the last seasons of NFL europe had 5 out of 6 teams based in Germany. One would conclude that Germany would be the main country outside the US that would appreciate football(american).Any Panther fans from Duetchland!

+ American football as we brits call it, was really popular in the 1980's hence why Miami Dolphins are the most popular team. Everyone here seemed to be in love with Dan Marino. It then dipped with numbers in the 90's but has since got bigger again. SKY TV show upto 6 games at the weekend. You can choose one of two 1pm games and 9.00pm games. They also show the Sunday and Monday night games.

When London Monarchs first started they were getting crowds of around £50,000 to 60,000 at Wembley but crowds drifted away and the Monarchs started playing at smaller stadiums which did not have very good public transport and people lost interest. Lets face it though NFL Europe was pretty poor!

We now have a regular season game at Wembley and both times have been sell outs. Next year we get New England and Tampa which will be a sell out especially as New England are big over here.

Oh, and don't forget our star kick off man is English!!!!

Go Panthers

I've been a Panthers fan since the 2004 Super Bowl which was the first American football game I've watched.

And I'm Finnish. We have a channel that shows one 1pm match, one 3pm match and the prime time games. Unfortunately they don't show that much Panthers' games - this season only one non-prime time game. But that was a good game: against Chargers. I've also seen the Broncos game with nlf.com game pass hd. But I'll still see at least one (hopefully three!) Panthers game because I get to see all the playoffs games.

I hope I get too see a Panthers game in person some day. I'm a student so I really can't afford a trip to USA now. The trip to Wembley was expensive enough this season - but I really enjoyed the game. Only thing missing was a Chargers victory.
