Unbiased opinions on the Falcons now? -

I know GB was beat up but you can't honestly tell me we should have won this game. IMO we are a 6-10 7-9 team and will improve in the future. Thoughts?

As much as I hate to admit it, I think the future is pretty bright for the Falcons.

One thing though...if I was a Falcons fan, I would be a little worried about over using Turner. I think that if I was coach Smith, I would try to get Norwood the ball a little more to keep him fresh for December. You never know, you just might sneak into the play offs, but you don't want to do it with your best player all beaten up.

I agree i'm worried about that. Don't wanna run him into the ground. This franchise already did that with Jamal Anderson and William Andrews. I am definitely hopeful for the playoffs but the way it's going there's going to be 4 teams from the East in there (i know not possible) We'd have to win the division IMO to make it in and i think the Panthers will win the division.

Did you say Playoffs? You mean this season? I hope not, because the Falcons are not there yet. However, they have the makings of a very good team in a season or two. Some nice young talent is being accumulated.

With the Cowboys, Skins, and Giants in the East....I think both WC spots come from there. It will take winning the division to get it.

Like I said, the Falcons are not a bad team and have some nice young talent. They will be a force in the very near future. The NFC South is tough this season and I just don't think the Falcons are there just yet. With Turner, White, and Ryan on offense...the Falcons have a nice young nucleus. They got rid of troublemakers like Hall. They are definitely headed in the right direction.

the falcons are a avg to low avg team...which is not a bad thing going to the season i thought they would be the worse team in the league.....they really shocked me and a lot of people...still 6-10 to 8-8 its a good bet

Just shows what can happen when you are able to run the football. Falcons have been impressive and exceeded expectations so far for sure.

The Falcons just need to get some consistency and experience, but have a good future ahead of them. I think there's a good chance they won't finish last in the division despite being a running joke before the start of the season.

Eh, I dont agree with that. The games they have won, Ryan, along with the run game has been strong. The games they lost, the run game was not effective. Preseason predictions are usually wrong, i.e. last year Bucs were picked to be dead last and we knew what kind of fluke season that turned out to be. So Falcons, they do have a bright future and will win 7 games this year.
