Default Unemployment

President Obama's crew told us in January that with the stimulus bill, unemployment would not exceed 8%. Today's report....9.5%.

To sell the stimulus bill, we were told without the stimulus bill we could expect to see unemployment at 9+% NEXT year.

They told us this to sell the stimulus, and it might just end up costing us 787 billion.....for...what exactly?

I'm not feeling particularily stimulated. But we'll pay anyway.

you can easily replace the word "internet" with the word "world" and it would still be a true statement

The same thing is happening right now with Healthcare Reform and this "Climate" Bill b.s. I'll post a link to this article from Industry Week again:
Quote:
The leading proposal is to start a program to cap domestic emissions and allocate those emissions via a trading system. There are innumerable problems with this approach, not the least of which is the likely devastating impact on U.S. manufacturing.
http://www.industryweek.com/articles...x?SectionID=23

Think this could negatively impact unemployment?

Duh...ya think? A second stimulus? The first hasn't done sh*t. As a matter of fact, how about actually spending some of the money from the first stimulus. If we do another stimulus, throw every single dime at the private sector small/medium/large businesses. That is where job growth is going to occur.

stirs is starting to get a clue.

You mean studying the "marsh" mouse in Pelosi's district at the tune of 32 million hasn't produced tons of jobs? Go figure.

Maybe studying pig odor in the midwest just hasn't gotten the right applicants.

Of course, states just using it to pay off their deficits is going to produce a boon any day now.

I wouldn't think they should read the next on either.

"stimulus" Hmmm
Maybe the can call the next one "utopia" or some other name that has nothing to do with what is inside the bill.
