Statistics guru (who helped popularize and formalize sabermetrics) comments on the possibility that the UIGEA gets overturned.
http://www.fivethirtyeight.com/2009/...-by-poker.html Thoughts? Although I do play poker, I never gambled online. I was always afraid of becoming addicted to the environment. But I do support individuals' right to gamble online and the UIGEA was horribly written piece of legislation that many websites have gotten around. Regardless, if overturned, it will make it a lot easier to deposit money and gamble online in the United States. Thoughts from the Huddle public? Also, a great clip from Barney Frank that even some conservatives will like, back when this legislation was initially passed (saw the link in a post from a commenter on the above article): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q-UpI1Ct-dg |

So, want to make a wager on whether it gets overturned?

Ahh, somebody else likes 538.
I know it's not popular but I like some type of internet sales tax. Very small. But why not tax a purchase as opposed to someones car or home energy use? Car you have to have to go to work(mass transit notwithstanding) and you need a roof over your head.
