Had a catch phrase (a hand up, not a handout) so catchy that New Labor stole it, which should be a dead giveaway it’s poo. Crippled the last vestiges of the New Deal. Shamelessly demonized single mothers and blacks. Clinton stated he literally wanted to end welfare. Was drafted by a republican representative from Florida. Used the dot.com bubble to hide the negative effects, which we’re strongly feeling in the rust belt today as states like Ohio can’t even afford to take care of all their unemployed.

Rwanda

Due to getting his ass dragged through the fire after the disaster in Mogadishu, Clinton didn’t feel it necessary to intervene in Rwanda. This was despite UNFC Romeo Dallaire was on the phone every single day with the UN telling them what was going on. The result of American inaction (and to be fair the inaction of the international community) was the murder of about 1,000,000 Tutsis and moderate Hutus in a 100 day period. The total cost of the war was 20% of Rwanda’s population.

Haiti

Clinton went out of his way to get rid of aristide and failed. Turned a blind eye to corporate funding to Haitian death squads. Basically saw to it that the country became a corporate fiefdom. Someday i'll make a haiti thread for low information idiots to complain about.

Yugoslavia

Shamelessly lied about the “genocide” carried out against ethnic kosovars and talked about mass graves that still haven’t been found. Supported a terrorist organization. Used the war as a pretext to wide out Yugoslavian state controlled industry.

iraq sanctions that murdered 500,000 thousand children and turned everyone in Iraq except the person they were targeted at into citizens of a fourth world poo hole.

One of the worst parts of these sanctions was the embargo on importing chlorine. It was stated that the chlorine would be used to make bombs. Of course it’s really fuging difficult to run a water treatment facility without the chemical, but children dying of cholera ain’t no thang.

Oh he also went out of his way to wipe out any civilian infrastructure that might have been useful in the name of disarming the country, like power plants, schools, hospitals, roads, bridges, and police stations, embarking on a shameless campaign of wanton destruction blatant enough to make Likud blush.

Pretty much indiscriminate bombing of Iraq in 1998 (with help from Blair) when they were already pretty sure all the weapons were gone. I don't have any numbers for casualties, if there are any reliable ones, but they can't come close to the deaths caused by the sanctions anyways.

How about the ratification of the sub-prime lending bill. I'm not sure that is was named as such, but it paved the way for part of the housing crisis that we are in today. Before people jump my case, yes, it got bi-partisan support. However, Clinton was the one that signed it into law. The other half of the crisis, that no president was responisble for, was the lack of foresight in supply/inventory that was building up. The combination of the two were absolutely leathal to the housing market.

I'm not willing to completely pin that one on him. When Bush took office he had a majority republican congress and didn't address this one. If all the republicans knew this was so bad, why didn't they fix it when they had a chance?
