really....keep giving up 400 yards through the air and see how well that works out for ya. You guys won because dumbass Clausen tried forcing the ball into coverage that he shouldn't have even considered. There were 3 NC guys around Kyle Rudolph on the pick that went for 6. Horrible, horrible decision even if the LB wasn't near the play.

no I was just amazed how Tate out muscled Burney on a throw that look like it was more to him then it was to Tate......Guess I used the wrong choice of wording, it was supposed to be a compliment to Tate

or a frustrating comment towards Kendrick Burney

Well Bottom line is that both of us knew it would not be a pretty game and the last team to have it at the end would probably win, and ND almost made that prediction correct. I am just surprised how ND stayed pretty aggressive the whole game with the pass, when at one time the rush was working pretty well

Yep, I agree...I didn't think this game would be a pushover at all. I was pretty horrified to see ND come out chucking the ball around like crazy. Clausen is what he is and sooner or later, giving him all those pass attempts, the odds were gonna catch up with us....and it did. The pick for the TD was something he should have outgrown by now. Last year, yeah, I'd expect it, but not now. Guess he got crossed up on the other one where it looked like Floyd cut off the route...though Griese and the boys thought it looked like Clausen was at fault judging by the way Weis was chewing him out. I was happy when they started running the ball and then they just abandoned it again.

Oh well, the game's over...NC made less mistakes and deserved the win.

I wish Davis would blitz more but he ain't going to, the word is he likes the zone D, it allows the back 7 to face the QB more and see the receivers as opposed to man to man where they would have to turn their backs more. Apparently he thinks the younger defensive guys do better this way and ya do tend to give up more big plays in the man to man when ya blitz more due to fewer plays back.

I reckon ya can't argue with success, they are just his(BD) bad decision to put paulus in the VPI game instead of sexton from being undefeated probably and lead the country in int's and are up there at the top in turnover margin. The DC, Withers is from Charlotte and used to coach with Fisher at Tenn in the NFL and I read they were tops in int's when he was there too, maybe the man knows what he is doing, it looks that way. I mean the have 14 or is 15 int's in 6 games, hell a few years ago they had 2, yeah TWO in the whole dang year.

I think the running game looks to be improving too and that is very good news.

Personally, I think the Tarheels might just have the best coaching staff in the nation. They won that game by making "in game" adjustments, and the kids responded.

Davis has changed the entire culture of this program, and has those kids spending a lot of their own time in the film room, which, IMO, is the biggest reason they are creating all of these turnovers on defense.

You certainly can't say that they're winning because they have the best collection athletes in the country, although the overall athleticism of the team is getting better as Davis integrates his recruits into the system.

Anyway, it's gonna be fun to watch this team grow over the next couple of years.
