Week One Round Up -- Jerry Richardson Conference
The conference started out with a bang with the matchup of the Wilmington Wino's vs. the Kickin' Camels. Both teams traded big scores with big duds but the humped ones pulled it out 135-120 over the wino's. The amazing stat was the camels bench (mostly eli and plaxico) scored 145 pts so watch out next week. The wino's obviously have a champion qb (Peyton) but need depth at RB and WR.
High score of the week among all conferences goes to the G-Ghosts as they beat the Tazz Attack 179-110. The Ghosts rode big #'s from Cutler, Andre Johnson and Randy Moss to make up for relative dud from Cedric Benson. G-Ghosts #3 receiver on the bench (Randel-El) scored more (29) than both of Tazz's starting WR's in TO (28) and whosurmama (18) making a comeback tough
Using JR's advice, Bo came within 10 points of triple digits but it wasn't enough to beat the 142 from solorca. Solorca's hits included Kitna, Travis Henry and Antonio Gates to balance out dud #'s from Reggie Bush and Santana Moss. The bad news for Bo was after Brady no other player scored more than 15 for him, the better news....at least for next week, is that his bench outscored his starters.
Wu Tang AKA Jza only scored 116 so he was fortunate to matchup with ZZ Motorhead who won the low score of the week award with 70. Not much spectacular going on with either team but Wu Tang came close to having his bench match his starters so he will have some flexibility in lineups the next few weeks. Getting good weeks from Bulger and Willie Parker next week would go a long way to posting better numbers.
JPepp4Prez, aka Chuck Norris' bridge beat back the annoying Gnawing Squirrels who are distracted by college football. The squirrells suffered from sub-par performances like RB Brandon Jacobs (feel your pain brother) and Maroney plus WR Donte Stalllworth and just did not get any home run #'s.
The Bleeding Iguana's are cut deeply by Purity control 164-96. Purity rode that Romo train and dosed in L. Coles and the Steeler defense to get his numbers up with the big boys. The lizards need comeback weeks and lineup switches to get back on track. Purity control should be just that with bench that hit trip digits and moves on the waiver wire.
