what went right?
what went wrong? don't hold back. If you draft this weekend you would be well served to listen or peek at the Sam Mills draft. Keys; if you or the site screw up, shout out right away. we can stop and fix if you are fast. If you are on placidils there is very little we can do for you. apparently ie7 needs to be refreshed. if timer is frozen, hit refresh. actually if in doubt, hit refresh.

The draft queue didn't seem to work well which in turn meant I needed more than a minute, especially as it seemed to lag.

And Pryd...this is for you....it is destiny.
The Denver Post reports quarterbacks ascend to a new level of play when they reach their third season in Mike Shanahan's system, and this is Jay Cutler's third year. It's probably equal parts familiarity, comfort level and maturity, but there's no denying the trend. John Elway took the Broncos to the Super Bowl in 1997, his third season in Shanahan's system. Jake Plummer took them to the AFC championship game. Cutler? For the time being, he'll have to settle for looking really good in the preseason. Cutler has thrown the ball 43 times out of 79 plays in three preseason games. The Broncos have thrown more than they've run in seven of Shanahan's 13 seasons. Last year, they attempted 515 passes and 429 running plays. Year Three is here and Shanahan has a new level of trust and confidence in his quarterback. More and more, it's looking like he'll put the fate of the team on his young quarterback's shoulders.

I'd also suggest somewhere saying after round 8-10 or so, no stopping of the draft if you somehow goof to speed things along.
It really sucks if you don't get one of your major starters or needs, but it's not really life threatening if the computer gives you Phil Dawson instead of DJ Hackett.

Using Warner till B. Marshall comes back to help Cutler, then Cutler willl take me to the promise land. If not, I will start LT at QB.

I second that......2 hours wasn't bad though. And thanks guys for running it. Delhommey will send you a card with money in it to show you our appreciation. ps...things would go smoother if people were more familiar with how it works before the draft. They had their chance though so I say f*em if they mess up cause they don't know how to work it.

well, tell that to the guy that didn't goof in rounds 1-10 watched the same 2-3 guys screw up early and then hit a button by mistake in round 11. Plenty of guys think the late rounds are key, especially if they pick late or get an injury down the road. I think it is important to be consistent. It takes very, VERY little time to fix a mis-pick if the alert is thrown up right away. Where we ran into problems, I would pause draft and go into different window to fix and while I was doing that the timer would start again for some damn reason (that I am going to find out) and other owners would make picks that I would have to undo. Before the draft I told everyone online I would do that and, again, I think consistency is the key. As is getting it right. In the next drafts I'm going to have owners type a keyword, ("STOP" works for me) and we will fix the problem right away. And DJ Hackett is going to RULE!

Well, I've got one gripe...
It may just be the fact that I haven't been involved in a draft with this much human intervention before (I've played Sportsline, ESPN, + Yahoo! over the last 8 years), but the selection "rollback" isn't very fair (IMO)... For example... Round 3, Pick 6 comes and goes... Round 3, Pick 7 comes and goes... The whole round, I have had my eye on Jamal Lewis with the 8th pick of round 3. Somehow he ended up dropping to me at this pick, so I snatched him up ASAP and was extremely satisfied with my RB's at this point... Round 3, Pick 9 is on the clock... *STOP* All of a sudden, the person with pick No. 6 in round 3 complains that he didn't want the pick that he got, so the commish rolls everything back to his pick and ends up taking Jamal Lewis, who I had pegged the whole round... I ended up losing Lewis as my pick, and ended up making a snap decision and taking Brandon Jacobs instead, which I now regret... I showed up to the practice draft and learned how the drafting system worked. I had first hand experience with the system "auto picking" for me when i didn't make a selection within the 60 second time limit. Why even show up for the mock draft to learn how everthing works if it's not going to matter in the end?
