Currently 4-2 in my league and I get offered this trade:
I receive: Tony Romo L. Tomlinson L. Coles I give: Phillip Rivers M. Barber D. Bowe My team currently looks like this P. Rivers J. Delhomme M. Barber J. Lewis E. James S. Slaton A. Johnson S. Holmes D. Bowe L. Evans D. Hester D. Henderson IMO, this trade gives me an immediate upgrade at WR to S. Holmes. A second half break out candidate in LT, and a wildcard in Romo. I hate to pull the trigger with the success I've had thus far, but I think it may be a good time to sell, rivers and buy tomilinson. Tomlinson plays KC twice, Atlanta, Indy, New Orleans, and Oakland in the upcoming weeks. thoughts?? |

its tough to give up barber esp with felix out so he will get all of the carries but its even harder to pass up LT..he has started a little slow but is startin to show up..romo>rivers and it seems the favre call has gotten him to wanting to play this week and i think he will
i say pull the trigger |

I'm an LT owner and while I hope he gets better, the evidence on the field is showing that he's not the same without a healthy big toe. It's evident when you watch him. He will have a few big games. I don't think you'll be able to expect the pre-2008 version of in your lineup this year. And because of that Rivers, is going to have more value.
Right now Barber is money. While you might think Romo's numbers would improve with Roy Williams, I don't really think he's going to make that big of a difference. I think Santonio Holmes is going to turn it around. I'd hold off on this one if I were you. |

Boy that is a tough one......one you may regret whether you do it or not.
I think I would do it. I think LT will get better as the weeks go by. But then again why fix what isn't broke. 53.5% Do it 46.5% Don't do it I have been no help at all have I?

After further reflection, I do think that I'd take the chance. The only thing that you're really losing is Barber. You're gaining a banged up, but highly motivated LT who is bound to get a lot more productive considering his opposition. Being that LT has pretty much been a bust so far this year, the only way that his numbers can really go is up, unless he gets banged out altogether. With Slaton, Edge and Lewis, your running game should still be above average, even if LT continues to muddle through.
I feel that the key pick-up in this deal is Romo. Yes, he's hurt his finger, but this will not take him out for the season (and with Favre whispering in his ear, Romo will probably be back sooner than later. The only risk is that he wouldn't be able to throw the ball (but I doubt that). Romo is a fantasy stud when he gets things rolling. And, according to reports, you'd be good after the bye weeks end. As long as you can hang on until then, your stock should rise once Romo is healthy. As for Bowe and Coles, it's pretty much a toss up. Bowe doesn't have a good QB so far, and KC's O-line stinks. But, he is the most targeted WR in football. Coles has the gunslinger throwing to him, so he's bound to put up comparable numbers. |

thanks for all the help fellas.
Here is my thought on the trade. I'm leaning towards accepting it, but i'm going to wait and accept it on saturday. That way I get one more week out of rivers, all the while, I will also miss out on a questionable romo. |
