In honor of this week's Panthers game against the Buffalo Bills, I pose to you this question...

Not it for latrine duty.

If SCP enters does he get to eat boneless?

Most wings eaten contest?  Or, hottest wings contest?

The Blazin' challenge at Buffalo Wild Wings is pretty easy IMO.  How is Wild Wing Cafe?

Apparently Ed's Tavern is brutal.

Longest amount of time waited before taking a crap after eating 40 ultra spicy wings.

Township Grille was the best! Sad to hear they're out of business.

Now my favorite place on my side of town is Moosehead. I never eat in the restaurant because I don't like needing a spatula to pry myself off of their sticky bench seats when it's time to leave. Their service is meh as well, but they do cut a vent in the Styrofoam to keep the wings from getting too soggy on the drive home which I think is a nice touch.

DD Peckers is good, a hole in the wall, but slightly cleaner and much brighter than Moosehead. Wing King is good, used to play pool there after work once in a while. Wouldn't drive across town for them though.

Used to love the chargrilled wings at Cheese Moz, Dan Morgan's pizza place.

It used to be Moosehead but I haven't been there in many years.

- Lebowskis on East BLVD

- Killingtons in Huntersville

Best I've had that are fresh and not from a chain.

Best chain wings? -Hickory Tavern

Jack's Corner Tap in Cornelius, and Taste of Buffalo in Huntersville are both solid.

Taste of Buffalo has better chicken strips than wings IMHO (had to put that bc the whole staff is from Buffalo IMHO)

You live in Huntersville/LKN area, eh?

Try Killingtons off of Exit 23. Gold Rush = Phenomenal. Some of the best wings I've had in the Charlotte area.

Never had the wings from JCT. Not a big fan of that place.

Old Picasso's on East Blvd hands down the best ever.

What's that place called now? It seems like everytime I drive past that place it's called something else. Same with that place across the street that used to be City Tavern/Plan B/Rockin Lobster/etc. I heard the hot dog place is good but I heard it's expensive. Like $7-$10 for hot dogs. lol.

Longboards is old Picassos. I have not gone in there out of protest.

Buffalo wings? You are living in a weird country..

They're from Buffalo, thank you.

My vote is for the Wing King in Fort Mill (right by my place) ... HOT BBQ FTW

The old BW3 off Woodlawn was pretty good too, that was like a decade ago though (never try a 6-wing bet with the nuclear hot sauce or whatever it was called, couldn't even make it to the 2nd wing)

I find this thread very interesting....I've been thinking of opening a wing joint

in Myrtle Beach.

what is it that makes one restaurant's wings so bad for those of you that hate a place?

And after the standard mild-hot-really hot wings, what are your favorite flavors?

I don't like what low and slow does to chicken skin, but I'd rather have wings off my grill than fried.

I keep my wings on the  smoker for about two hours at 225-250.  After that, I take them off the smoker and put them in a fryer for about a minute to crisp up the skin.  Works like a champ!

Hickory Tavern?  Are you kidding me?  Their wings are one small notch above Tyson frozen wings.

I put down 6 of their nuclear sauce wings.  They were hot, but nothing that was unbearable.

The Triple Atomic wings at Quaker State is hotter...and those were still good.

Hottest damn wing I have ever eaten was made by Ranucci (at one of our tailgates a couple seasons ago).  He was testing to see how hot he could make them (were going to be his Squeal Like a Pig wings at his restaurant).  TattooRhino and I were his test cases.....those damn things were PAINFUL.

going to hooters when you want wings is like dumping a can of cold beef ravioli in a bowl and nuking it in the microwave for thirty seconds when you want italian

Not going to disagree with this at all...even I can't figure it out.

I like really good wings, but about 3 times a year I want some from Hooters, I's crazy.

ah yes, smo-fried...I've only done it once because it's a lot of work, but it is a very good technique.

it's ok, IHOP is nasty as hell but every once in a while i get this odd craving for it that can't be fulfilled by anything else.

If you answer a chain restaurant for best of anything then you need to get out more. That's like saying Chillis has the best ribs or Outback has the best steaks.

Well aren't you mr fancy "i know a lot of yummy local restaurants" pants
