Chudzinksi hired as Cleveland Head Coach
Jan 10 2013 10:13 PM | hihosilver in Carolina Panthers
The Browns hauled their coaching search to Arizona and back. They talked to high-profile college coaches, NFL assistants and a fired pro coach who took a team to a Super Bowl.
None of them was hired.
Instead, Rob Chudzinski became their pick.
With no experience as a head coach at any level, Chudzinski was hired Thursday night by the Cleveland Browns, the team he cheered for as a kid. This is Chudzinski's third stint with the team, but this time around he's the guy in charge.
Chudzinski, who spent the past two seasons calling plays as Carolina's offensive coordinator, is the Browns' sixth full-time coach since 1999 and 14th in team history.

I literally have no idea what you're talking about. I never suggested they'd fire Rivera while the team was still competitive. Seriously, what?
Not entirely sure why you're so clearly worked up and quick to defend the abilities of such a mediocre coach because he fits a system. Regardless, I give up, your reaction to people having an opinion that differs from yours on an Internet message board reminds me why I don't post much.
oh god please nobody who's worked under kevin killdrive
What's the deal with that anyway...wonder why he would go to Cleveland over here....
Chud was not that bad and I bet he won't be going back to the read option.
chud had absolutely no comprehension about the ebbs and flows of the game. An no poo no read option he has brandon fuging weeden and colt mccoy. This is the best thing that could have possibly happend to the panthers short and long term.

@coard .@josephperson Can you confirm or deny the sky currently falling in Carolina?Fug me. I spend a few hours offline and look what happens!
Trust me. This is good news. Even if Cam has to learn a slightly different system, it was Cam and our skill players that made Chud look good, not the other way around.
Now is the time to get a good, experienced offensive mind in here, both for the sake of our offense and to help Rivera with game day management.
Woo Hoo!
PS: I had my fingers crossed when I wrote that I'd give up internet porn should Chud get hired away.
I guess you said that because you didn't think it would actually happen huh? LOL.
Like the Browns have any credibility....I realize it's a new ownership group there. But I'm all too familiar with Chud and the Browns pattern of failure.
They have a long history recently of hiring guys who were mediocre coordinators and terrible HC's. You wait and see, Chud will be next. Romeo Crennel, PAT FREAKIN SHUMUR, and now, Chud. He will fail there. He will never go to the playoffs (he has never as an OC), and it was a poor hire. People are in an uproar in Cleveland over it. Whisenhunt would have been a better choice for them, but they're the Browns and they always fail.
I agree. I have always thought the Panthers offense was better when Cam was under center. I dont mind the shotgun, but when our base running game was from that it sucked. Let Cam develop into an overall QB that can throw, and run, ala Rodgers, Rothlesburger, etc. (I know its spelt wrong).
Norv, come on down!
Seriously doubt Chud will turn over playcalling to someone else.
There's not enough dark rum in the free world to make that look good.
