Former Bears nickel back D.J. Moore told me he's about to sign a 1-year deal with the Carolina Panthers in a sec. Should be a good addition.

Glorious is it not.
Campbell played very well last year and if we draft a good young prospect like Rambo, we will be fine next year. We can work on Godfrey and all that next year if it proves to be a glaring issue this year. Campbell could be the solid steal that everybody is looking for in the draft. As good as he played though, I wonder why it took the coaches so long to play him in front of Naka.
I have to think it is a combination of a couple of things. One being the experience Nakamura brings. DJ didn't get enough opportunities to warrant switching players. The Panthers just didn't trust DJ enough. Once he got his chance though, he did what he was supposed to do. Make the position his.
My biggest misery though, is, they gave Nakamura way too much money to not play him. Got snookered on that deal. Nakamura proved that a lack of athletic ability is gonna come out. Smarts only gets you so far, and as of now, it gets him ST play and what they call depth.
If our kids grow up this offseason, we should be in good shape in the back end.
