Gettleman hired as Panthers GM
Jan 09 2013 05:03 PM | carp24000 in Carolina Panthers
CHARLOTTE - The Carolina Panthers announced Wednesday that Dave Gettleman has been named the team's general manager.
Gettleman comes to Carolina from the New York Giants where he served as the Senior Pro Personnel Analyst last season after working as Director of Pro Personnel the previous 13 years.
"I was very impressed with Dave's experience and think he will be a very good fit for our organization," Panthers Owner/Founder Jerry Richardson said. "He has an extensive background in personnel and comes from an organization in the New York Giants that I hold in high regard and played an instrumental role in their success."

Jst go look back from 2001-2008 drafts. We used to hit a lot of later rounds player. Haven't been that case for awhile.
He is? But he doesn't have any grey hair?
Huh?
WHO'S READY FOR A LITTLE GETTLE MAGIC?!?!?
When he gets in his car in the morning, perhaps he says:
"Gettleman, start your engine."
Is that Gettleman? Does resemble him in the face. Up-size arms for an office guy.
If so, where'd you find it? Pics of Gettleman are harder to find than shots of Bigfoot.

Aaahhh, makes sense.
Might be in his 60s, but that pic looks like a guy I wouldn't mess with
you take that back. We now have a sexy Jew in charge
He and Cam dress the same. They love those hiked up shorts. Must have been a selling point
That bolded quote is the kind of thing I really like to hear.
Such a perfect hire though. He is going to get the right guys here and have the cap under control
I think the news around here won't be dying down anytime soon.
If I just got promoted to head dude that is in charge, don't you think I would be on the phone with the guys I had been working with in years gone by and trying to get them to join me?
I love this hire.
Get on it, G-man!
He look better than I thought

Keep in mind the Panthers don't necessarily list everyone (scouts, for example, are nowhere to be found).

Naka also
Fashion aside, read his quotes and you'll find he's definitely a fan of Newton.
There's something we haven't seen for a bit.
An article from Yasinskas about the Panthers GM position that makes no mention of Brandon Beane.
