Great news! Now let's see if JR hires another puppet or puts the team on the right track. I'd expect Ron to be gon e as well, but that won't happen until a new GM is hired. If the season is already a wash JR won't pay Ron to sit at home

As far as replacements, I would be cool with Ross, but I REALLY, REALLY, REALLY hope JR opens up the checkbook and can lure DeCosta from Baltimore.

Eh. Isn't it impossible to get DeCosta since he signed a contract? A really big one at that?
MY PETITION WORKED!
This news is awesome.
I don't know about the guy's running our front office. They just seem like JR puppets.

Maybe JR just did this to make the fans happy since there isn't much to be happy about.

We need to bring in a winner. Marc Ross would be great.
Ho
Ly
poo!!
My grandpa's barber is the same one who cuts JR's hair. He told me that there's more to come.
OMG IM SO fuging HAPPY! I FOUND OUT ON MY PHONE AT WORK AND I STARTED JUMPING UP AND DOWN LIKE A LIL GIRL AND DOING A DANCE! I AM NOW VERY OPTIMISTIC ABOUT THIS TEAMS FUTURE!!! OMG IM SO HAPPY!!! MY PANTS ARE STILL SOAKED FROM JIZZING EVERYWHERE!!! HELL YESS!! THIS IS A GREAT DAY IN PANTHER NATION1!!!
PI TO EVERYONE! I LOVE YOU ALL!!!
I wonder if having Cam on the roster will attract coaches or make them run away.
Chud should be next

Wow!

Listen! Here that?

I think I hear John Fox laughing from Denver!
I'm afraid to check these sources because I might wake up...

Rivera might as well start sending out his resume.

with a 7-15 record, maybe it's best not to a resume at all (at least for a HC position)

Im truley sorry it has come to this - Marty Hurney seems like a nice guy - probably not cut out to be a gm, and hes taken the fall for a lot of crap that he had NO control over.

he is the man that puts the people in place, he did have control over that....
I'm terrified they'll promote Mark Koncz instead of bringing in someone new.
WOW.

Seems uncharacteristic of JR to fire someone mid-season, but changes are needed. I appreciate everything you have done Hurney, now get the fug out.
Put me in there, I'd have this team going real quick.
Step one- Fire all the "coaches"
Step two- Trade Deangelo for the best 7th rounder we can get and trade Beason for the best pick we can get
Step three- Keep Cam, Stewart, Tolbert, Smitty, LaFell, Kalil, Goss, Bell, Olsen, CJ, Frank, Dwan, Keuchly, TD, James Anderson, Gamble, Norman, and Nortman.
Step 4- Fire the other 33 players
Step 5- Sign Bill Cowher and allow him to do the rest.
amazed.... didn't think old jerry had it in him

now does he put a replacement in there now , or wait till the end of the season?
i am literally crying tears of joy right now
I know that this will be good for the team in the long run, but I can't help but be sad that this likely spells the end of Double Trouble. Overpaid as they are together, you've got to love those guys.
my stance is that overpaid as they are, one of them should be cut/traded for the sake of both the team and player

preferably DeAngelo since he's almost 30

Not as happy as I thought I would be....

Rivera definitely is next

Which is a shame, because I love the guy as a DC. I really think he'll go onto a DC position elsewhere and really improve that team's D. A lot of analysts said he was coming into the HC ranks too soon, hence why other teams passed on him. I think they may have been correct...

That will depend on someone else being willing to take on their salaries in a trade. I don't think that's very likely right now, although I don't know exactly what the salary structure is.
