Nfl Suspends 4 Saints For Bountygate: Vilma Gone For The Season!

Bountygate

Albert Breer@AlbertBreer

NFL announces Jonathan Vilma has been suspended for the 2012 season. Hargrove gets 8 games. Will Smith 4 games. Fujita 3 games.

Judy Battista@judybattista

NFL says Vilma helped in "establishing and funding the program".

Wasn't expecting a full season.  Fujita is a Brown and Hargove plays for the Packers.

Now that's a reliable source. The Network for the league that is run by the guy who hands out punishment without letting the accused hear the evidence or anyone else for that matter.

You mean the league that offered him the chance to meet with the commissioner with counsel present and had their evidence reviewed independently by a former US Attorney who works for a defense firm? That league?

Oh and one more thing. If i'm the Saintz i'm on the phone with New York asking about Osi Umenyiora. Spags coached him in New York, and he shouldn't demand a high pick in return.

I know people rag on you and think you are a troll (Which I think you are at times) but this is not a bad idea for the Saints** to do. As a fan of the Panthers I would hate the move but it would be a very smart move for the Saints* if they can get him and sign him to a long term deal.

But you also got to think about that they are doing it at the expense of prolonging signing Dree Brees to a long-term deal though.
Not sure why I am writing this because it is obvious you can't read. You keep saying Payton and Williams and Hargroved admitted it so Vilma is foolish for denying. Show me one quote, one example, one page of evidence that Payton, Williams or Hargrove admitted that Vilma, Smith or Fujita participated. I'll wait to hear back. Thanks

I'm sure they ran a bounty program with one player

Gregg Williams has likely already turned states evidence on the players. It's a good bet that's how they knew who to punish the most. And of course, no one would know more about what happened than Williams.

Ah, but it's not just Williams. The NFL has confirmed that "multiple independent sources" corroborated the evidence on Vilma, Fujita and Smith.

In short, they haven't got much chance.

They really are blowing this out of proportion. I've never liked the city of New Orleans though so I'll celebrate their misery.

Hurricane Roger blowing your dreams away.

What you described could not possibly have happened...There hasn't actually been 70000 fans at a Panther game in years despite what the Panthers might publicly state.

Uh huh, how many people in New Orleans would plunk down a few thousand $ just for the rights to buy a season ticket?

Do government aid programs cover season tickets?

They have a SIGNED declaration from Hargrove your illiterate litte swamp rat.

"By denying the NFL’s findings regarding the Saints’ bounty system, the NFLPA has attempted, wisely, to create a he said/she said dynamic as to whether players were involved, notwithstanding the admissions made by the coaches involved in the bounty program and, according to the NFL’s announcement from Wednesday, a signed declaration from defensive end Anthony Hargrove."

Again you can't read! Hargrove admitting he did something has nothing to do with Vilma or Smith. The commissioner suspends Vilma and Smith because Hargrove is guilty? That is the stupidest logic I have ever heard so before you call someone a swamp rat you might want to check the logic of your argument.
