Yup, I agree.
Both may be gone. Never know.
I was one who opposed to cutting our own guys like Dwill, Beason, etc throughout the offseason, but now I wouldnt care who Gman gut. Im not going to be emotional and feel too attached to these players anymore. Do what's best for this franchise, and that is cutting who you have to to create space and fill positions where it's needed the most.
Keeping these guys with huge contracts will keep us 2-3 years away from being a Playoffs contender.
So it is a business after all...no more of these then?
(fox and hurney crying when they released Jake)
I will give you access to the secret forum.
get back to me with your thoughts
Yeah, Jimmy Clausen, going need you to come in for a physical today

It's a future move I would guess. We can't afford to pay a "4th Starter" starters money for multiple future seasons with everything we need ot get. If Gettleman turns this space into a corner or tackle, it helps the team a lot more.
It does suck we had to cut him though because he was a nice guy and engaging. All the best to him, and hope he finds a good job somewhere else.
He had the 9th highest cap hit on the team. A "4th starter" can't account for that kind of hit. Granted his dead money is still the 9th highest cap hit, but it was about the future as well.
Shouldn't we have done that first?
Either way, I don't have a problem with the move. What's it net us financially?
I think they just cut DJ Williams and might cut Dummervil, so it'd make sense (Although I think Dummervil may have played more end last season).
thank you.
Not with his injury history and how easy it is to replace LBers
Unless you are a season ticket holder, paying again for another 'lost' season.
I have two PSLs, section 342, want to buy them?
Beason better do what is needed of him. Especially given his injury history and that Jason Phillips is perfectly capable of starting and being a tackling machine
