Ryan Kalil: We Will Win SB XLVII

I hate it when players make these kind of predictions, but atleast he didn't call us the "dream team"

It's nice seeing confidence coming from our team...crazy what a difference 1 year can make.

That being said, im sure all 31 other teams just printed this out and put it on the board.

But screw it, im too excited....GO PANTHERS
Heh... The Huddle should take out a page add saying:

We hear you, Ryan!

Sincerely,

Panther Fans
Wonder how Ron Rivera will feel about having to answer questions about this
We're coming bitches

Wonder how Ron Rivera will feel about having to answer questions about this

I think out of all the questions Rivera will have to deal with, this is the easiest one:

"It's the goal of every team, every year, to win the Super Bowl."

Here it is for all to see...

GOOSEBUMPS!!!!!!
Well as for me, I love confidence but hate "guarantees" like this. More than 90 percent of the time they backfire.

Mind you, if they do actually win it, this will become legendary.
We need attitude like this. No one setting for anything less than greatness.
If they go into every game with this attitude we are going to see some good football this year. Every player has to buy in.

Fug 2010.
Danny Morrison said he liked it.

At first I thought it was bad but then I thought about it and realized it has no bearing on anything whatsoever. It's fun and shows they are excited too. If Rivera can't answer questions about something like this he has no business being a head coach and I'm sure he'd rather talk about this than the forced autograph scandal or Neblett getting suspended.
money is now where mouth is. maybe, just maybe, the local area fans will respond and be loud in BOA stadium on sundays?

Wonder how Ron Rivera will feel about having to answer questions about this

Could you imagine if John Fox was still the coach? His head would have exploded.

I have no problem with what Kalil did. I wish more pro athletes cared enough to take out a full page ad to pump up the fans.
Cowherd just gave Kalil props on his prediction. said it wasn't absurd at all....could see 11-5
If this had been something a player said to the national media I don't think I would have liked it.....not sure why but taking out the ad in the local paper just seems different.

Yes, because a back up QB calling mentioning that his team's roster is like the Dream Team after all the high profile acquisitions in the off season is so much worse than taking out a full page ad in the news paper guaranteeing a SB.

To back it up that same back up QB played AWESOME for you guys.
The difference between this guarantee and others, and why this one feels more ok than others is simple... Most boasts and guarantees come from people you expect to hear it from... I expect to hear it vocally from Beason... He's a vocal leader... Same with Cam, he's a vocal leader... Kalil is a quiet, lead by example individual... For him to come out like this, is out of character for him... And it makes it root a little deeper with fans, media, and (hopefully) his teammates...

Do I believe the Panthers will win the Super Bowl? I'd just as soon predict where the next bolt of lightning will strike...

Do I believe the Panthers CAN win the Super Bowl? Absolutely...

As I look across this team, this is perhaps the most solid lineup we've had in nearly a decade... And I can honestly say I share Kalil's optimism and enthusiasm... I do personally believe, that the Carolina Panthers have arrived...

And that's just the way I see it...

I'd throw in some loot for this... Seriously!

Fug it....I threw down $50 on the Panthers to win the SB at 40:1 odds in Vegas a couple months ago. I'll sell my soul for $2K if the Iggles are out of it ....Lord knows it's not worth nearly that much.
love this. how can you not love the confidence?
Vegas here I come.
People have been saying the culture of of the team has changed, and its absolutely true. This time 2 years ago it was nothing more than a group of guys, fox's attitude showed in the players. Rivera in just a year is changing that efficiently. This is now a team, and if these guys believe it I support them 100%.
I heard Adam $chein and Rich Faggon talking about it on the nfln. Not sure how you can be a bigger bitch than those two. All they want to do is talk about how awesome Alex Smith is going to do and how bad the Panthers are.

They gave it 0 credit and almost laughed at Kalil saying something a long the lines of "ehhh how bout win some games first".

Gonna love calling in around week 12 to talk smack to those two.
It's on ESPN's home page as well now. I'd post the link, but I'm on my phone, so it would be the mobile version.

It'll make Spirts Center for sure!
Hell yea! I believe!
