When the Carolina Panthers released Steve Smith, it shocked everyone including Smith himself. The franchise was taking a new direction and for the first time in over a decade it didn’t include Agent 89. Smith didn’t like it one bit, and apparently did something about it.
This morning Steve Smith admitted to giving the Baltimore Ravens access to his Carolina Panthers offensive playbook. “When I came in, I said my playbook will be on my desk, what you do with it is on you.” Smith said. “And you know what they did? They went by my locker and picked it up.” Probably not a shocking revelation as much as it is a shock that Steve Smith admitted to it.
Watch the exchange right here.
Carolina Panthers fans love them some Steve Smith, and that will never change. But they likely will not appreciate this newest revelation all too much. It seems hell hath not fury like a Smitty scorned.
