4 Things Greg Hardy Must Do to Remain a Panther

Recommended Posts

If innocent, fug the other 3.

Again, if innocent then immediately Hardy becomes the victim of an unstable and insecure little girl.

And I ain't talkin about Nicole Holder.

And he bears no responsibility for his own judgment?

Even if No. 3 was to happen, that weak NFL Players Union better step in and fight for Hardy. No way he should give back that $13 million because of fake outrage.

Give back $12 million? Nobody is dumb enough to do that

LOL So true. If a player was that big of an idiot,he would be to dumb to play in the NFL. :)

I don't think Hardy is coming back personally. And that is a big blow to our defense

We have several DEs who collectively may be able to do some of the things he can do.

But no one can do all the things he was asked to do like drop into coverage, play inside, effectively defend both QB and RB on the read option, set the edge and explode for TFLS against the run.

And none of those things are the obvious 15 sacks he can give us.

As a group we may have 3 guys who can do those things but not any one who can do all those things.

We will be fine, but let's not act like losing Hardy is no big whoop. He was our best DE in just about every facet.

As to Voth's article. Maybe it is just me, but if I was found not guilty I would be asking for an apology not giving them, and no way in hell I would give any money back.

He was plastered as a poster child of NFL domestic abuse and was lumped in with Ray Rice who punched his girlfriend in the face on camera. If I didn't think I did anything wrong and was found not guilty I would be asking for retractions and apologies from Goodell and media at large.

Maybe that is just me though. Having said that, I think he is gone no matter the verdict.

I don't believe there is any chance he would give it back.  That being said, if he did give it back, it would be him volunteering, so I don't think the Union would say much about that.

If on the one in a million chance, he did decide to relieve himself of all that cash, a much more fitting gesture would be a donation to a domestic abuse charity.

Or he could give it to me, either one would suffice.  :)

News Flash...........Greg Hardy found innocent by jury of his peers after 4 day trial. So if that does happen......

Now what does it mean? It means that even if innocent Greg Hardy will never suit up as a Carolina Panther ever,

never, and in conclusion...never.

Greg Hardy has as much chance as suiting up as a Carolina Panther as the Seattle Seahawks winning the Superbowl in 2016 for a 3-peat.

Look, I never said give the guy a blank check. All I said was we need him because he's a special player. We are a much better team with him on it.

I specifically said earlier "if he's innocent we should at least try to bring him back"

If he's asking for too much money you obviously have to let him walk. But if it's reasonable you keep him.

Bottom line is that he is a hell of a player and definitely makes our defense better.  There is no arguing that...we all agree with it.

But, with all of the issues surrounding him, I just don't see much of a chance of him being here.

Rumor has it that we did not even have any intention of signing him long term when we franchise tagged him....and that was BEFORE the legal incident.

Should you lose a job because you hooked up with the wrong chick? That seems a bit over the top.

OR....

As the article suggests, he has a discussion with Gettleman and Richardson where he discusses his innocence and regret at the difficulty the trial caused last year, and offers to come to a reduced deal next year to try and make up for how much time he cost the team this year.

Not sure how this equates to an impossible situation.

Yes Jerry may give him a sit down as a professional gesture......but rest assured....He will never suit up again as a Carolina Panther. Big Cat is all about moving forward, not behind. Damage done and over with.

Hardy has an agent who works for Greg Hardy. He will still get a nice penny on the open market, no need for hometown discounts, no need to apologize if found guilty. If anything, Jerry Richardson should apologize to him for putting the shield ahead of taking his player's word for what happened. It is Richardson's orgnaiztion who allowed him to play on week 1 only to cave to the Bob Costas' of the world and again, this owner put the shield ahead of his team and fanbase.

Greg, I hope if you are found innocent that you get paid!

GET PAID....... Hell son look at his deposit slips. He was well compensated and he will be when he goes to a new team.

Hell, if you ask me Hardy owes his teammates, his coaches, and Jerry Richardson, the city of Charlotte, NC and all Panther fans an apology for putting himself in that "dumfug" situation in the 1st place.

Again a judgment in liking the wrong woman. ..how many of us have made the same mistake. .with less consequences for it...

Was I forced to hook up with someone crazy or did I put myself in that spot?

And let's be clear: This is far from the only instance of Hardy showing poor judgment. It's a trend with him.
