Official Panthers - Dolphins GameDay Thread

Recommended Posts

It might not be impossible, but it's extremely unlikely it will work. Again, I'm more worried about the fundamentals. Hell, they can't tackle or catch either so maybe we should run off the DC and WR coach while we're at it.

Jesus Christ dude, stop while you're ahead.  The difference between the offense playing badly this preseason and defense is the defense has a track record of being a dominating and good unit and we're missing 3/4 of our D-line.  Sean Mcdermmott has the skins on the wall, Shula on the other hand just has the wall.

have the panthers attacked the edges at all with the run game tonight? i don't think i've seen 1 sweep or toss and i only remember that screen that stewie dropped.....also webb just medaled in the long jump

Queue the Shula lovers to explain to you that, unlike the Dolphins, Shula/Rivera are "testing players".  lol

well be irritated it's better than watching Philly jog off looking at his gloves

Brown disappointed me tonight. Seems like he just assumes he's got a starting spot with KB down.

He had 2 catchable balls he dropped. Granted they wore tough catches but they are ones starting caliber WRs have to make.

Good news is he was getting open but those have to be caught

shula is a fine coordinator, but his style doesn't mesh well with this teams strengths. which is explosiveness and creativity. shula doesn't know how to utilize it to the fullest. did mick mixon just say rivera had an ample chest?

So when they ran a predictable draw up the middle for no yards on 3rd and 10 inside the 10 in the 1st quarter instead of going for and "testing players", they were testing players?

Huh.

Well I'll be danged.

im sorry you must be watching some other game because the only draw within any 10 yards that I saw went for close to 9 yards. Do you not realize the fugging d line we are playing against?!? How retarded do you have to be. Sun wake yeah sure let's drop back and get decked on by them and the blitz for a nice pick 6. Don't be a terd

OK, I'm convinced...fire Shula!!!! I feel like a smart productive fan now.

I love Toldozer but I'm starting to think Todman, CAP, and Wegher may have earned spots over him.  I know Ron won't cut Toldozer though.

Tolbert has not looked good since 2013. He used to carry/truck someone for 2 yards, now he is getting tackled by DBs.

I thought the line of scrimmage extended outside of the field of play?

Yeah, in my next post I listed the same scenario.  I appreciate Brockel, but I don't see his value at this point  I feel he has held a roster spot over more talented guys the last two seasons now.

And Tolbert is a great guy, but I don't think he is what he once was anymore.  Plus, Ward, Todman, and Wegher are all more versatile.

I just don't see Ron cutting Tolbert though.

I have given up understanding how the NFL cap really works, but could there be a cap savings with cutting Tolbert?  The reason I ask is that G-man could possibly force the situation if there is a real savings in the deal for the panthers if the talent difference is negligible.
