Captain Morgan

forget rookie stats, Donte is 5th in the league for passer rating allowed when targeted

Good for Richard Sherman as well. to come back like he has after a torn Achilles is very impressive. Everyone says how he got screwed on his contract might have to eat crow if he makes his incentives.

Props to Hurney for getting Donte. Can’t remember him drafting any corners who were above average... maybe Gamble?

Maybe Gamble?!? Gamble was a solid corner for his entire career

He drafted Josh Norman and Chris Gamble aka the best corners this team has had.

The turn around of Morris Claiborne is very surprising.

Gamble was one of the best and he did it consistently for years. But yeah outside of him not many. Josh was a Hurney pick...

a person with more energy could scrounge up an offseason thread about signing Sherman to chuckle at all the people saying he's garbage

Gamble wasn't just solid, he was a legit shutdown corner who never got the recognition he deserved

2 gimmie ints certainly help that

On the surface they both seemed like gimmes but one of them was really just great awareness by Donte and if he didn't make the play with his head, the receiver would've had a chance on that ball. Not many DBs let alone rookies make that play. Forget which game it was, maybe Bengals. The other one was a gimme.

Yeah, because we all know how easy INTs are to come by. They just fall out of the sky. lol

Regardless of his performance(s) nowadays, Capt was a good pick too (especially in the 7th).  And other than the times we tried to put him on the outside early in his career, he played very well.

Anyone remember Richard Marshall?  In a way, reminds me athletically of Donte Jackson (Jackson's work ethic is much better though).  Marshall had a good 2009 season but otherwise never lived up to his potential.
