Hypothetical next HC for the Panthers...

Put your hypothetical hat on...

I’m not sure if the validity of this article, let alone the actually of this scenario, but say Mike McCarthy is fired at the same time Ron is let go. Would you want him here as a HC?

Nope. And I doubt Ron goes anywhere until Cam either sucks or plays for another team.

I’ve given this thought.

A. MUST be offensive coordinator

B. Stay away from coordinators with elite QBs. You want a coordinator that is good because of his coaching and offense, not because he has an elite QB and elite WRs that make him look good.

C. Someone youngish- Early to mid 40s

D- NO Retreads! For every Andy Reid there is a John Fox, Jeff Fisher and Jon Gruden.

So who would be at the top of my short list?

Bill Lazor- Bengals offensive coordinator

In Ron we trust. Ron is a good coach and better than Mike McCarty. Ron is a top 7 coach in the league. No I don’t want him fired or replaced, his main issues that I don’t like is his loyalty to his assistant coaches and in game time management

Nah.  Ron is a fug up, but McCarthy is a push at very best.  There has to be some young talent out there who could maximize the talent we have and who prefer to play football in this century.

We've had this question a couple of times this season.

My choice would be Dan Campbell, the assistant head coach for the Saints.
