Cutting

Captain

Searcy

Torrey Smith

Matt Kalil post June1

TD

Thank Mike Adams,Pep,Funchess,Horton as they wont be resigned

Resign:

Kyle Love- dam good rotational guy who needs ti be locked down.

Obada- dude is oozing potential and showed flashes this year.

Eric Reid- the guy played solid, no matter how you feel about his off the field stuff, he helps this team

Daryl Williams- will not cost much, coming off a knee injury and only Proven 1 good season.  Hometeam discount, will come back and start at RT

FA:

Josh Norman- he will be cut, and he fits our system.  Likes our HC and GM and is close with Cam.  He is older, coming off his worst year and seen as a system guy.  He will come CHEAP.

Tyrann Mathieu- he is on a cheap 1 year deal this last year.  He is close with Reid as they started together at LSU.  Reid and Honey Badger will be back together again.

Robert Quinn- many expecting him to be cut by the Dolphins as they will save some $$$.  Bring him in for a vet prove it deal.

*Donavon Smith- if unable to retain Williams, Smith wouod be a target.  Has been inconsistent and struggled at LT.  So the Bucs may let him walk.  Coming out of college, scouts said he was a better fit at RT.  Which is where he'd play here.

Clark: cheap cheap, good depth as backup LT

Draft:

1st: Rashan Gary- this is a deep DL draft.  And DE is a HUGE need.  No hesitation, they go and grab the young freak.

2nd: Michael Deiter- we REALLY missed Norwell this year.  Deiter is a Huge get for a position of need here.  He is versatile, played Center some at Wisconsin as well.

2nd b: trading our 3rd and 4th and 2020 5th we slide up: Garret Bradbury-  Big athletic Center prospect, still getting bigger amd stronger.  He's the 2nd ranked Center in the class but has the highest ceiling.

3rd comp: Tanner Muse- 6'2 230 with speed.  Plays as their deep safety but loves coming down hill and physical.  Kid is from belmont NC.  Kid is a GLUE fit at OLB for us.  Carter slides into Mayo's role backing up Luke and learning from him incase Shaq walks the next year.

5th: LJ Scott- CAP is a FA and wont be resigned.  We need a #2 RB, a complimentary RB.  CMC had a Big Time year this season.  But Rivera and Norv may try to pull back juuust a tad to keep him fresh.  He will still get superstar touches, but wont be in every play.

6th: Jalen Hurd- former RB at Tennessee that transferred to Baylor to transition to WR.  Big athlete, had a solid season.  Losing Funchess and cutting Smith.  We need another body at WR.

Potential lineup

Offense

QB: Cam

RB: CMC, Scott

TE: Olsen, Thomas

WR: Moore, Hurd

WR: Samuel, Wright

LT: Moton, Clark

LG: Deiter, VanRoten

C: Bradbury, Larsen

RG: Turner

RT: Williams

DE: Quinn, Gary

DT: KK, Butler

NT: Poe, Love

DE: Addison, Obada, Haynes

WLB: Shaq, Carter

MLB: Luke, Smith

SLB: Muse

CB: Bradberry, Norman

SS: Reid

FS: Mathieu, Gaulden

CB: Jackson, Norman, Elder

To play devil's advocate what role does Josh Norman fill here? Are you going to take snaps away from Donte or Bradberry? Try to move Jackson to slot (a move I personally wouldn't agree with)? Perhaps play Norman at free safety?

Competition

Bradberry is still pretty inconsistent.   With the NFL playing more Nickel D, its good to have 3 good CBs.

Play Jackson and either Bradberry/Norman then move Jackson to Nickel when situation arrives.  Heck or even move Norman to Nickel, still better than many Nickels.  You dont have to be the steriotypical short quick guy to play there.

AJ Green linedup alot in the slot vs us before he got hurt.  Michael Thomas moves around, etc

I like your optimism...don't think Norman comes cheap at all though.  Quinn is gonna want some cheddar too.  Still, if we could pull that off I'd be happy.  Not knocked out of the park with that draft but nice job.
