I mean they fire the people that had nothing to do with last season being a disappointment. But keep the ones that are directly at fault and the kicker is they get to stay in said position but the boss will do his job for him all season long.. what in the fuging ass backwards world is this baby back bull poo??

You took the right step in having RIVERA take over but you are now babying Eric Washington?? Loyalty is Rivera's Achilles heel.

Idk yet will have to see what we do in fa and the draft. Not fond of letting td walk when he could be an asset for cheap. Not a huge fan of Rivera and I’m skeptical he will change to win in today’s league constantly

I'm indifferent at this point.  It appears there's not going to be any significant changes so I'm just going to watch it unfold and make my decision at the end of the season.

Pretty dissapointed, especially after how the season went and the promise of new ownership. This is not all bc of Cam's shoulder. It's clear Tepper isn't interested in changes at the moment/for the time being. I'll try to be patient but my off-season enthusiasm is going to be very low.

kept Rivera and Hurney, got rid of CJ Anderson for no real reason, likely letting Daryl sign elsewhere so the OL will be even worse, defense is only getting older and worse, lower draft position bc we won a meaningless week 17 game, little cap flexibility, major health concern for our franchise QB who will be playing behind a worse OL that IR'd QBs in back-to-back weeks. Next year is gonna be 2014 all over again but with a shittier defense and OL.

The only answer is undecided because one year into a new owner we have no idea what his true big picture plans and direction are

At this point it is too early to tell. Our coaching staff is incomplete and we haven't even discussed who we are keeping and who we aren't. The overblown response to Washington sticking around assumes he is the DC on game day. He is a darn good defensive line coach and works with the front seven players.  Ron stays DC and oversees the scheme and play calling. We bring on someone to manage the secondary. What great defensive coordinator would come here knowing Rivera will be calling plays and controlling the scheme. With all the DC openings, who thinks ours is a great one right now

    • More ties to South Carolina.  https://www.sc.edu/uofsc/posts/2020/07/tepper_scholars.pcf.php#.XwzY8jNKg2y The University of South Carolina has announced the establishment of The Nicole and David Tepper Scholars Program in the university’s acclaimed Department of Sport and Entertainment Management. The Nicole and David Tepper Scholars Program will provide four-year scholarships to a cohort of four incoming freshmen each year. Tepper Scholars will receive $10,000 per year toward their education and will gain access to additional enrichment opportunities. Selection for the Tepper Scholars Program will be based on academic merit to recruit the best and brightest students, with an emphasis on supporting student diversity and first-generation students. The first cohort will receive additional funding this year to provide immediate relief for financial difficulties related to COVID-19. The new program is being created with an impactful gift from Nicole and David Tepper of more than $567,000 over the next three years. “The University of South Carolina is deeply grateful for David and Nicole Tepper’s leadership in supporting education excellence and opportunities across the Carolinas and here in Columbia,” says University of South Carolina President Bob Caslen. “This transformative and generous gift will make an immediate and lasting impact on the personal and professional success of the next generation of sport and entertainment management leaders.” The Teppers’ charitable efforts are focused on the core beliefs that everyone deserves an education and access to health care resources, and that no one should go to bed hungry. David Tepper is the founder and president of Appaloosa Management, L.P. and owner of the NFL’s Carolina Panthers and Charlotte’s Major League Soccer team. “Dave and I want to make sure education and the college experience is accessible during this global pandemic,” says Nicole Tepper. "This gift is designed to help students stay in school and on the path toward earning their degree. UofSC's Department of Sport and Entertainment Management is one of the very best programs in the country with an impressive faculty roster that is innovative and business focused. We have seen firsthand their industry expertise, passion and commitment to building the next generation of leaders in our field. We hope this gift will ensure continued personal growth and outstanding career preparation for UofSC sport and entertainment management students.” The university’s Department of Sport and Entertainment Management is recognized as the No. 1 program in the nation and has built a roster of world-class faculty and alumni. The first cohort of four Tepper Scholars will be selected from the more than 300 freshmen who have been accepted to the degree program for fall 2020. Future cohorts will be recruited for fall 2021 and 2022. “Our students are incredibly fortunate to learn from industry leaders, and this powerful new partnership with Nicole and David Tepper will shape the future of sport and entertainment management for generations to come,” says Matt Brown, chair of South Carolina’s Department of Sport and Entertainment Management. “We are deeply grateful and very excited for the young people whose lives will be changed by these innovative programs and scholarships.” The Department of Sport and Entertainment Management is part of the university’s College of Hospitality, Retail and Sport Management and offers bachelor’s, master’s and Ph.D. degree programs. More information on the college and its degree programs is available at sc.edu/hrsm.
