DJ Moore’s Rookie year

Surprised that Rodrigue, or anyone else, had to stumble upon that stat to know how effective he was after the catch. Anyone who watched any of his highlights would have immediately seen and recognized how dangerous he is after the catch.

And how poor he is before the catch.  Big fan of Moore btw, coaching staff misused him all season though (just like so many others on offense).

Regarding the fumbles, Steve Smith had fumble issues his first couple of years, and he fixed the issue.  I think Moore will as well.

I disagree with all those who say we need a #1 receiver.  I think we have one in Moore, and Samuel/Wright are solid as well.  Receiver corps could end up being the best we have had since the 03 season.

There are people that don't think Moore can be a number 1?  These people clearly didn't watch this kid play.

Man...It's amazing to see Cams arm get progressively weaker in that video. After about 1:07 on, he had 0 velocity.

DJ needs 12 targets per game.  End of story.  The guy just makes things happen.   Him and CMC should be the main targets on this team every game.  Defense knows it's coming?  Doesn't matter... it's still coming.

He did. There was a small contingent of people who still weren’t sold on him well into 2002.

Another reason Rivera should be out

Lance Taylor was fired because of that.

Lance Taylor's job to come to Rivera and say, hey, Funchess at #1 isnt cutting it, Moore, Samuel have looked good lets make one of those guys #1 in our game plan.

We didn't lose because of Cam's shoulder we lost because Funchess was continually in our game plan as the #1 WR

Funchess can't be blamed for any losses after the Detroit game.  He missed the Seattle game, and was barely targeted during the remaining games.  In fact if you look at the snap counts in the games after his Detroit debacle, they were significantly below Moore, Wright, and Samuel.  5 of our 9 losses came in games that Funchess didn't play much of a role in.
