Shocker

Trade Chatter

Recommended Posts

Apparently we are looking into Andre Drummond.  Talk is Batum and Monk to Detroit.  Not sure how I feel about that as Drummond has 3 years (like Batum) on his deal for even more.  Plus losing Monk would suck.  Tough one as Drummond is young and productive but strictly a old school center.

Still Kevin Love talk out there but I doubt that happens.

Rumors that we like  Marc Gasol from Memphis. He would be a better fit than Drummond and wouldn't cost as much

I hear you as he only has two years on his deal but he is also 33.  Drummond 25.  But still...we basically cut that bad salary and get a productive C for 2 years so it does make sense.

Drummond was an All Star last year.

if we trade Monk for Drummond I will burn this fuger down to the ground. That would be the dumbest fuging trade in the history of the NBA. Drummond half asses his play and is a terrible center for the modern NBA

I don't care what Monk has looked like so far, you don't give up on that kind of talent in year 2. And you certainly don't give it up for an immensely overrated center who is vastly overpaid and a terrible fit in the current league.

Ew I can't express how bad this would be

I don’t like Drummond at all. Dude is a mental midget and capitalized on the fact that he gets to play with an elite #4 in Blake Griffin.

disagree.. he's been a double-double his entire career and one of the best rim protectors in the league AND played almost ever game - Every Year... Blake didn't get there til midseason last year..

If you can trade Batum for Drummond you do it, throw in somebody like Reggie Bullock.

This ×10000 isnt ideal for todays NBA.  But he is solid

Batum on the other hand is wasted space.

Get a taller shooter like Bullock and a Solid Center

Without giving up picks

Dumping Batums contract is a fugging Huge win

I’d want Bruce Brown as well if we are giving up Monk, I’d throw in Frank’s expiring to even things out.

PG: Walker, Parker, Graham

SG: Lamb, Brown, Bacon

SF: Bullock, Bridges

PF: Williams, MKG

C: Drummond, Zeller, Biz, Hernangomez

TW: Chealey, Macura

Hornets have shown interest in the Grizzlies Garrett Temple and JaMychal Green.

Not sure what the ask would be but I wouldn’t be inclined to give up more than MKG, Frank, and a 2nd. Both Green and Temple are free agents and neither would be back with the Hornets the following year due to finances so there’s no shot a first round pick would be involved.

Hell if I know, just reporting the chatter that is out there.

I actually like Green better than MKG but I find Temple to be useless.

    • Here is the thing, I know its quick to react.   But NBA and College are apples and oranges and almost 2 different sports. Little's game fits much better in the NBA. NBA is more like these HS AAU etc ball.  Which you saw Little Dominate. He came to UNC.  Who already had one of the best players in the country at the 3 and a AA at the 4.  They litterally tried to work him into the 4 small ball in college just to fit him on the court.  He has admitted that he even put on a little weight at UNC to fit in.  He's slimmed back down down to his natural weight to play the wing.   He is going to be locking up guys on the wing (which you saw him do to Zion etc in HS)  vs having to play on the block down low like he was playing at UNC guard Zion backing down in the paint
    • Yep, a player like that is what this franchise needs. Hopefully he pans out and then we can build around him. Shed some bad contracts. All would be right, if it goes according to plan. We need a plan though as an organization, instead of this mediocre stuff year in and year out.
    • Playoff tickets haven't worked that way in almost a decade.  Currently there's an option when you pay for the season tickets: do you want playoff tickets or not. You have to make a selection. And if you do choose playoff tickets, at the end of the season, the NFL calculates the odds of a home playoff game. When the odds are 100%, your credit card on file is charged for the tickets at the time general admission tickets for that game go on sale in January. There's no more charging anyone when there is no home game. No more credit carried forward to next season. It's all straight forward and clean. If you don't buy playoff tickets (answering 'no' to the question) you do not lose your PSL. The bonus for the PSL owner is playoff tickets at face value if you answered 'yes'. Why a PSL owner would say "no" is beyond me.
