I totally disagree.. He has all the physical tool to be good and if you got him in the 6th round or later. He could work out great for us.. Especially  with a QB "whisper" like Norv Turner... I think having Norv makes developing a young QB more of a option..

The 1st pass was off balance and went 60 yards easily.. poo I might think using a 5th or 4th round pick on him isn't crazy.. Horrible footwork (coach able) but that ARM and size is god giving.. Give Norv 3 years with him..

I watched some of his games live. He is all over the place. As a project player, I put him on the practice squad. If we go with him backing up Cam, we would be in serious trouble should Cam's shoulder not heal correctly. We will be in serious trouble regardless but starting Jackson could be seen as tanking. Nevermind the fact that there is a correlation between being over 6'5 and being unsuccessful as a QB, for whatever reason. Perhaps the talent at that size for the available sample is low, but there have been no 6'7 QB's who've panned out in the NFL .

That's why I said give him 2 or 3 years to work with Norv .. He is a developmental project but his raw material is enough for a 5th or 6th round fliers...

Its hard to see any of those actually being Carolina picks. I can understand from a position point but if we do BPA we could have a solid draft.

Theres no reason we couldn't get a decent D line prospec Polite, Wilkins, solid WR Deebo or Metcalf. Hog Molly, Dennis Daley, Isiah Prince,  Elija Holyfield.

Theres a chance for a long 7 round balanced draft or we will trade and risk for 2 or 3 dudes. We might consider a position crucial, what if they really want Brown from OK or even a QB. I could also see us double or triple dipping CBs again past the 3rd

A solid talent evaluator can find guys worthwhile in that range. Jackson is not worth more than a 7th compensatory and it wouldn't be mine. I've watched enough real film of QB's, high school, college, and Pro, to know a fit when I see one. Jackson's actual game gf ape is far different from his highlights.

He is Logan Thomas. Draft him in the 7th, have him pack on 30 lbs and move him to TE. He will run a 4.7 or so which wouldn't be bad TE speed.

Yeah Okay Andy Reid.. Don't know why you're wasting all this scouting talent on a message board..

Dude has a rocket launcher for a arm and alot of arm talent need some work on his footwork and working in a pro offense .. a 5th and 6th round pick for a developmental project isn't a new idea...
