Don't we already have 2 backup QB's

If you've got two backup QBs, you've got zero backup QBs.

Yeah they are not backups like I've been trying to tell all of u, especially the ones that said oh Allen looked like he should start after beating 3rd and 4th stringers at NO

Your conclusion is correct but your rationale is wrong. Allen hasn't shown he is durable enough and might still be rehabbing so he might not be our backup. But he looked great which just confirms how potent this offense is that a guy in his first start looked so good.

I understand. They went according to the draft board. Only thing annoying about this pick is that the racist element of this fanbase will want WG starting the sec Cam turns the ball over.

You’re the only one who is bringing up the racist element.

He has Mayfieldesque accuracy so there’s that...

The issue with Grier comes when defenses disguise different looks, luckily he has one of the best post-snap QB’s in the NFL to learn from.

If he shows out in the preseason or in a few games (if needed) we can trade him for a pick in a few years.

Are we just in love with him because he's good looking and from NC? Everything I'm reading says he's a 4+ round player with a weak arm, and potentially just a product of a system. So far the best grade I've read is C.

What's all this bull about "value"?

Watch film and u would know. All everyone cares about is Newton, and he has been beaten to death. We don't know if he can last a season. No way anybody can convince me that Allen is the answer. If u think so then u need to quit watching football!

Got quality safeties available.

But sure, go with the guy who'll never see the field and who won't be leading the team to a Superbowl even if he does. Team has too many holes to let our backups turn out like a Nick Foles kind of guy.

Don't like the value here. Needed a solid safety and now we're gambling it out in the 4th.

Unless Cam forgets to wear a tie on a road trip, he ain’t developing on Sundays

This line is getting old.  It was a well known rule, it is a requirement to wear a tie, Cam didn't follow the rule, he didn't start the game.  That is how a TEAM is built, no one player is above the team.

Instead of bashing the head coach, why not ask why Cam chose to send his other stuff out and not just keep one of the ties he had packed, or wear one many of his teammates offered to lend him.

The Panthers haven't disguised their intentions at all. The three players they seemed most obsessed with happen to be their first three draft picks. So much for using smokescreens to your advantage.

Well we obviously didn’t need to because we got them... so this seems like a classic case of bitching about something just to bitch about it lol

People who think Grier can lead a team into the playoffs have no business evaluating players. This team without Cam  would’ve been picking top 10 since 2014 kicking the tires on Fitzpatrick

no one on this board full of pot bellies and dick cheese have no business evaluating players.

Helps the Saints had their backups in as well and gave zero effort, which in turn helped Allen look good.
