Daryl Williams is our best tackle and is the only one of the three that cannot play guard IMO.

Agreed, but Moton isn't far behind in regards to being the best tackle.

Moron may very well be the future at RT and he will likely be better than Williams, but for the moment the better fit at LG will be Moton.

Said it before, the best lineup we've got is from right to left, Williams-Turner-Paradis-Moton-Little.

Moton will be invaluable beside Little for a while and the two of them could be an incredible tandem on the blind side.

I think we should put our best OL on the field, period. But, I think we also consider injury risk and depth chart shakeups when create our lineup too. Does anyone really think that Van Roten was a better option at LG than Larsen last year? I sure don't. I think Van Roten played LG because we pretty much assumed that Ryan Kalil would end up missing time and we didn't want to let an injury force a disruption at two positions with Larsen sliding over to center. I think that same thought process could come into play this season. If you play Williams (the biggest injury risk) at LG, it's an easy plug and fill with Van Roten or Larsen). If you play him at RT, then you have to disrupt two positions to move Moton from LG to RT or you're plugging in a 6th round rookie or scrub vet at RT.

Hard to imagine they re signed Williams to have that cash ride the bench. He’s gonna play somewhere on that line.

I said the same thing about Matt Kalil.

In an event, I think this is a good problem to have.

I really think that Moton performed so outstandingly at RT that it would be foolish to move him away from that spot. Williams, for his services here before the injury does deserve a shot to start on the line. Perhaps LG might be the best spot for him to help bring the rookie LT up to speed and to make best use of Williams' lateral movement (if that hasn't been hurt by the knee).

You don't just let Williams' experience walk or sit on the bench without getting him back in the trenches and seeing what he has. Wouldn't it be great if he could transfer to guard and find an even better opportunity there?

I'm feeling a lot more optimistic about our line's capabilities than I was last year at this time, and that was at a point where everyone was healthy.

This is pretty much what I think. Although as we've seen in the past 3 seasons , oline injuries derail pretty much all your plans on the oline and offense in general.

Injuries are the great wild card in the NFL. Sometimes a team gets tons of them and has to limp through the 16 games, other times a single injury to the wrong guy turns champs into chumps. Sadly, there's no crystal ball to foresee it.

Pump the brakes on Little, he has the upside but needs work before he ius ready. If he starts the first game, ill be shocked.

I won’t. These coaches are on the way out and all they’ve done is throw poo at the LT position.

If Little even has an average year he’ll be crucified on the huddle, but it’s a really good sign. Hope he’s ready.

If all things go well and Little is good to go at LT in his rookie year and Williams actually plays well at LG, I would like to keep Moton at RT. If Little isn't ready, I'd like to see him at LG with Moton at LT. Hope we don't leave him there when he's struggling and his confidence is going down.

I think we are going to run our base offense with an extra lineman.  That’s obviously the plan here. Can you still do two TEs If you do an extra lineman?

Rivera and Hurney can see that the recent trend toward passing offenses has gone too far. We will be ahead of the league when the bubble pops. Zig when they zag, boys!
