Panthers welcome Megan Rapinoe

Recommended Posts

Not to break up the hysterics but excellent move on Teppers part to get a MLS and possibly a WPA/NWSL(Honestly, not really sure which one is the top league) team.

Since when do we have to agree with some crazy woman to root for the Panthers? Very odd take.

Cause @PhillyB said so.

Now I'm not inside PhillyB's brain or anything but I think his comment and this entire thread is essentially a parody of the "hurf if you don't like it you can giiiiiit out" attitude a lot of people have.

You don’t think.... *cough*

I like that she makes it easy to spot the troglodytes on this forum.

That's been pretty easy for years. She just aggravates the niche trogs that hate lesbians.

In College Football, if a player hits another player excessively, if it's excessive enough they should be ejected from the game.

If it's deemed not that excessive, they should have to sit down for 30 minutes and listen to Megan Rapinoe talk about how the women should have equal pay in their sport, even though NO ONE comes out for their awful Women's Professional games.

WNBA players get paid next to nothing, because no one watches their games. It's PRETTY SIMPLE really.

They’re not asking for equal pay for women’s professional soccer.  They’re asking for equal pay as the men for playing on the national team.  The woman’s world cup had higher viewership than the last men’s world cup, and oddly enough she’s not asking for the men’s national team to be paid less.

Thats not even remotely true. Literally half the world watched the mens world cup last year and the womens world cup barely generated a fraction of the revenue.

what you probably meant to say is that the FINALS this year had more viewers on Fox than the FINALS last year - well no poo, no one in America is tuning in to watch France and Croatia play soccer

“For all the fans and people - good morning America, everybody - go watch your team," she continued with a laugh. "Watch the national team. Watch your local club teams. I think that there's a part in this for everybody to do. And I think we've really left the old conversation behind us and now it's time for that action."

It was a thinly veiled argument for the overall pay raise of female athletes in sports. In fact it sounds a lot better if she argues for all women's sports and not just the national team because it’s less selfish.

Unfortunately, Sports is one of the worst gauges on equality pay since its attendance based.

You’re right, but there’s definitely enough money there for them to be paid equally, especially considering they last longer in the tournament and thus generate money from playing in more games than the men.
