The epic collapse of Russell Wilson

Recommended Posts

Is anyone else ready to see this? Maybe it's just me but I'm soooo tired of the hype. It's insane how overrated he is. Dude comes into the league as a game manager, not even a dak Prescott, get a carried for a few years by one of the best defenses the modern era has ever seen. Very Eli manning esque in that sense. Gets to 2 super bowls blah blah.

Now his team is depleted completely minus Russ himself and Bobby. They're going to be eaten alive. Now to clarify, I do think he's solid. He's smart and doesn't throw picks. And he has semi graduated from game manager to above average qb. Last year is when this collapse should have happened but I think they got by with fluke. It's finally time they get tossed around a little bit and I can't wait to see it.

Also, I don't care about popular belief, Cam is better then Russ. Sorry.

My best friend bought us tickets for that game for my birthday.  I’m hype as fug.  Can’t wait to watch Burns squish Russell like a bug.  I think he’s a great QB.  I used to hate his game and think he chucked up those lucky floaters, but after so many years of the same poo, I have to give it to the guy.  He can ball.  Still prefer CN1 of course

Actually you nailed it right on the head. I tell anyone who will listen that he just throws it up and prays. I could literally make a 10 minute montage of him throwing the ball up to recievers who aren't open and they come down with it by catching it off their ears, knees and elbows. It's insane how lucky he is. Definitely the luckiest qb ever. Go back and watch the Packers vs Seahawks game in the NFC championship a few years ago. Still can't believe what I saw

Of all the QB's why are you worried about Russell Wilson?

How about we worry about the collapse of Drew Brees and Matt Ryan?

Four straight years he had both the #1 rushing offense AND #1 scoring defense. FOUR STRAIGHT YEARS!! Along with that he is the luckiest QB on broken plays.  Basically just score 24 points and they won 99% of the time.

That dude, his coach and his team owns the Carolina Panthers. Outside of a miracle 2015 regular season win by the panthers and a near comeback in the 2015 playoffs, they have absolutely owned our mini-rivalry.

If you can do the same thing over and over for years it isn't luck. Delhomme did it for years with Smith. Great receivers make an average QB look good. They make a good quarterback look great. Wilson does what he can to win. Same as any other quarterback in the league.

I mean you lose all credibility when you say he’s not even Dak Prescott.

I don’t think he’s elite like some but Wilson is a pretty darn good QB. His biggest downfall is how much money he demanded and how that forced the team around him to fall apart.

    • It's not that we drafted him. It's that everyone knew when he was going to be drafted weeks before the draft. Hurney had locked eyes on him and was taking him no matter what. I'm not complaining we took a backup and that he shouldn't have time to develop. What worries me is that our 3rd round pick couldn't beat out an UDFA. It's the NFL, you don't always get time to develop a project. Granted it's a busted season, so there isn't really a high priority now to get him game time, but sometimes guys do better in a game than in practice. Neither here nor there really at this point.  I had big concerns about Paradis and DWill prior to the draft coming off major injury. Big men with leg injuries and they are rarely like new. GVR was always just a JAG, and Turner hasn't played up to his contract. Moton was really the only guy I had any confidence in going into the draft. It just seems like all the worries I had on draft day have come to fruition. I guess I'm more upset that we placed all our chips on 2 guys coming off leg injuries and it turned into a complete catastrophe.
    • A system doesn't make you a better passer. Dude just has gotten better and is still learning.
    • I dont recall you ever really supporting cam, opposite really. This is his first season even being legitimately a threat as a passer. Yes he is having an amazing season. Yes he is very good. But it's basically his first glimpse at being good. Year two. Better than Cam ever was...humm your reaching. He could break his leg later tonight then we never know. Slow down let's see some dominance. Cam showed dominance this is Lamar's first go at this.  What your doing is basically like saying after last year Patrick Mahommes is better than Tom Brady or peyton manning some guys who have proven it. Let these guys have some career before saying crap like this. Unless u just want to bash cam because u dislike him which from what I have seen you do.
