Who else is ready for 3 hours of - "dafuq was that bro?"

We are all still way too hype and the Pats love to over prep for poo like this and will embarrass us if given the chance we gave Buffalo.

I hope we look like world beaters but would not be shocked if we look less than, well, ready.  I'll go with ready...

I'm seriously not trying to be a smartass, but perhaps Rivera is simply evaluating how guys look in the 4-3 during preseason games and saving all the 3-4 evaluation (and looks we don't want to share) for the real games

All i saw was 3-4

Let’s not overlook the corners early on. Elder had a hell of a play on a screen, blew the whole damn play up. 26 and 24 played great. 25 had a late hit, but other than that, no big errors.

The bright spot is the one spot we all thought would be less than desirable.  No deep balls, good tackling.  Other than coaches making them play soft it was a good showing.

Defense showing the same from the last couple of seasons

RBs not getting touched until they reach the second or third level

Early indications are that Cam Newton suffered a sprained left foot, per league source. The 2015 NFL MVP is expected to undergo more tests on Friday, but at least the initial outlook was the injury wasn't too serious.

We played vanilla and we played soft. The Patriots never do, even in the preseason. They'll be fine.

We'll be fine. This team will go with how Cam goes and this preseason game just reinforced that. It's a QB-driven league and game, with the margin between starters and backups a wide and almost uncrossable gulf.

There are positives to take from this game:

1. Brian Burns appears to be the real deal.

2. We have our RB2 in Scarlett.

3. Our secondary looks better than expected.

Kinda struggling to find a #4...
