During our first two weeks, lucky bounces, opponent screw ups and just general weirdness kept us in games right up till the end, but we still couldn't pull off a win.

Stuff like this makes me wonder if our season might actually follow that same scenario.

I expect they'll IR him and see where the team is after 8 weeks.  If they're out of the playoffs by then, very likely, they just just let Brees recover and get a high draft pick.

That depends on how bad the other teams in the division are.

It's kinda like the old joke about not needing to outrun the bear. They don't necessarily have to be great. They just have to be better than us.
