Replace Lincoln Riley with Steve Spurrier, or Chip Kelly, or any number of college coaches who have been the "It" guy, and that is how I feel about bringing in any college coach. Riley coaches a team that almost always has more talent than his opponents, at least until he gets into post season. If memory serves, the last college coach to make a successful transition to the NFL without some time as an NFL assistant or coach was Jimmy Johnson. And that was nearly 30 years ago in the pre salary cap days. Maybe Tom Coughlin, but even he had to do a stint at Jacksonville before he got to a SB with the Giants.
