ncfan 8,762 Report post Posted September 30 (edited) Its early but I went ahead 1st: Justin Herbert- if Hebert is anywhere close, he will be our. Herbert will remind Tepper of a Young Big Ben with his size, arm strength, and athletic ability. People seem to be a little down on Justin, but much of that has to do with him coming back and giving more film for people to nit pick. He is still more accurate a passer than Buffalo's Josh Allen. With a offensive minded HC coming in, and my guess Mike McCarthy who has done a good job developing QBs. 2nd: Raekwon Davis- strong draft class pushes Davis right out of the 1st. I expect Hurney to get trigger happy like he did with Greg Little this year. Raekwon is a big Physical athlete who can really play the 3-4 and 4-3. His strongest point is his run D, where we have been getting gashed. 3rd: Ashton Davis- another swing at a Safety for Marty in rd 3. This time it isn't an out of no where reach 4th: Justin Jefferson- Panthers Really need another WR outside of Moore. Jefferson has shot up the boards and reminds me of a poor mans Michael Thomas. This WR class is STACKED, some good WRs are going to fall. 5th: Jake Hanson- GVR is a FA, Hanson has solid potential or will provide some much needed depth at the very least. 7th: Clyde Edwards Helaire- we still dont have a solidified #2 RB that we can rely on to spare CMC. Seoul_Panther 266 Report post Posted October 3 (edited) On 9/30/2019 at 7:09 PM, ncfan said: Its early but I went ahead and did a 4 rounder 1st: Xavier McKinney https://thedraftnetwork.com/player/xavier-mckinney/HiCzMNstl1McKinney is Versatile, think a more athletic harder hitting Minkah Fitzpatrick. He fits what we need And want. He's perfect for our zone style and has the ability to cover the nickel (remember that was the big reason Hurney liked Gaulden so much). 2nd: Alaric Jackson https://thedraftnetwork.com/player/alaric-jackson/IEncsypLqe Jackson had 23 starts at LT and some people thought he was a borderline 1st rounder at OT. His teammates Wirfs who has been at RT and is a freak, has taken over and dominated at LT the first few games this season as Jackson has been out with an injury. Jackson has a LOAD of potential at OG and the panthers have a need there. The former LT can come right in and solidify that left side next to Little for the next couple of years. 3rd: Darnay Holmes https://thedraftnetwork.com/player/darnay-holmes/akU0IPA9S6 This CB class is L-O-A-D-E-D Holmes is going to be a combine freak, he has Elite speed with solid size. The NFL is going more and more to a pass happy league with more and more 3-4 WR sets. You need more than just 2 good CBs in this league. The Bronco's 2015 D, the front 7 got all the credit. But that CB trio they had was just as big. 4th: Cam Akers https://thedraftnetwork.com/player/cam-akers/sPhCn8ATDw Look, I know this staff seems high on Scarlett. But its clear that they arent as much as we think, with the amount of snaps CMC is getting. Rivera says over and over at press conferences that they need to find ways to get him some rest. Getting him a good, legit compliment is one way. Akers was HIGHLY touted coming out of HS and is a freak. He has good size and speed. He has improved his pass catching ability. The big thong that seperates him is he can pass block better than many RBs I like the safety pick, lets be honest we all want that position pick. I don't know much about McKinney but is that taking him a bit high? Maybe a good year for a trade back? The other guys I have never heard of though a guy who can play guard sounds useful. I really like that he has the same name as the goth general that sacked Rome. Listening to Joe Marino's podcast he says outside the Top 10 the strength of this draft is CB, WR and edge. I think we might be able to pick up a really good WR and that's tempting since I'm still not sold on our WR unit. Interesting that you use the TDN mock. I thinks its much better than fanspeak. I did one on there the other day and got Paulson Adebo in the 4th. LOL. Edited October 3 by Seoul_Panther

Untouchable 549 Report post Posted October 4 I'm all about OL early again. Would love to add Wirfs but he's looking like he'll end up in the top 10 so far. I'd take C/G Biadasz in the mid to late first because we'll need to seriously look into help on the interior as well with Van Roten's contract expiring, Larsen's play and it would give us a chance to get out of Paradis' contract in the future. Center looks solid this draft too so not opposed to waiting until day 2 either. I pulled the following when I ran the draft network sim: 1(16) Tristian Wirfs, OT, Iowa 2(48) Shane Wade, CB, OSU 3(80) Lloyd Cushenberry III, C, LSU 4(112) Ross Blacklock, DT, TCU

SOJA 6,640 Report post Posted October 10 Too early to tell our needs next year but I suspect CB, DT, OG/Cm, and TE will be big needs

ncfan 8,762 Report post Posted October 30 Week 8 update Kinlaw- Poe (in his final year) and KK Short (coming off shoulder injury) are the only DTs under contract next season on a Defense that has been Terrible against the Run. Kinlaw is that big penetrating DT we need. Surratt- WRs have not been great. Surratt has that Alpha mentality. Also different than the other WRs as that big body guy.
SOJA 6,640 Report post Posted November 4 the more I look at it, the more I think we only keep one of Bradberry and Shaq. Knowing our history I think we keep Shaq, so CB will vault up our needs. I think CB, DT, TE and FS will be our biggest needs next offseason

Herbert's stock has fallen, a lot to do with other QBs in this class. He's the 3rd or 4th QB projected in this class currently
