Adam Schefter Just Said The Panthers May Be Looking At Trading For Emmanuel Sanders

Recommended Posts

If we're going to trade for a WR on a tanking team, I'd call the Bengals about AJ Green first. He at least gives us something that we don't currently have on the roster. We already have the smallish, quick WR segment pretty well covered with Moore, Samuel, and Wright.

Heard he has a $12m contract?

$10M in salary of which we would be on the hook for 9/17 of so just over $5M in cap space

Or hit up the chargers and see if they'd deal Keenan Allen or Williams.

I’d pull the trigger on that

Torrey retired

Doesn't mean he wouldn't come back.  In fact, it means it would be easier to bring him back.

Eh I dunno Torrey seems like the type of guy that when he makes up his mind that’s it.

Keenan Allen would be a great Panther. I’m sure him or AJ would not be traded for less than a yuck full of picks though.

of you do that, you are saying that’s your last piece to win the Super Bowl and we all in.

nope

manny sanders is a reliable vet wr with big play potential. i don't think we have that on our roster. he's like a much, much, much better version of wright.

not sure if we should trade for him but i disagree that he'd be redundant.

Who

Thomas has made the only contested catch of the night for the Jets— had to fight for that one hard over a guys helmet. Sold me.

No please don’t.  We already have 2 shorter quicker WRs that have been producing. If you are trading for a WR please go after either an experience vet or a younger guy with high potential/ceiling that just isn’t getting a chance on another roster.  Sanders is literally a VERY expensive version of all of the guys we already have.  I’d prefer a bigger possession type receiver.

bleacher report mentions Panthers ideal target would be WR Keelan Cole from Jax.

I would kick tires on Devante Parker WR from dolphins. Feel like he’s super talented just being held down by dolphins.  I would love Diggs, wanted him out of Maryland but just got a big contract this year I believe.

Imagine if gettleman had the balls to send our 2016 first to Detroit for megatron.... IMO we go 19-0 and we are vernon butlerless.

Certainly would rather have Lombardi than anything else, but having Vernon Butler on this team with Short's injury and the way he has been playing is a good thing.

Butler has 3 sacks and 3 forced fumbles so far.  He will never live up to his draft status, but he is an important piece on this defense this year.

I get the feeling that most of the people ITT saying they wouldn't give up a 5th or 6th rounder for Sanders haven't watched him this season.  I thought, in part due to his age, that he was done coming off of that achilles' injury, but no, he still looks just as fast and explosive.

Looking at all these possible trade pieces I just don’t see anyone worth trading for atp.  Mostly older guys with big cap hits or expiring deals which makes them rentals.  Josh Norman sounds good but that ship has sailed and he isn’t the same guy anymore anyway.  Not seeing a big move here.
